At the end of May, I attended the Stampin' Up! Convention here in Brisbane with about 700 demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand. It is an amazing convention and one that I would encourage everyone to attend.....demonstrators and their non-demo guests are welcome!
Here's why I think Stampin' Up! Convention is so cool.....
1. I got to hear Shelli Gardner, the Co-Founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! present and create beautiful projects onstage. She is warm & funny.....and so inspirational!!
2. I got to hear other inspirational and creative people from Stampin' Up! head office talk about the exciting things coming our way......and I got a copy of the BRAND NEW CATALOGUE!! Eeeekkkkk
3. I got to watch some talented demonstrators present on stage and share what they love about Stampin' Up!
4. I got to catch up with some beautiful fellow demonstrators who I am blessed to call friends.
5. I got to create some cards using NEW colours and NEW stamp sets during the Make & Take sessions
6. I got heaps of FREE stuff!! (not the most important thing as Stampin' Up! President Rich Jutkins most eloquently explained to us....but free product IS exciting to receive :)
Speaking of free stuff.....here's a sneak peek using two of the many stamp sets I received at Convention. I was inspired by this week's Dynamic Duos combo of Pear Pizzazz and Black. Yay for Pear Pizzazz returning as a core Stampin' Up! colour. :)
For my card, I used the "Bouncing Brayer" technique which was shown to us by Paula Dobson. I used Pear Pizzazz for my brayered background and used a new stamp set for all the background splotches and "tracks". My sentiment is also from a brand new stamp set!! Aren't they both cool!!?
Don't forget to visit the rest of the Design Team to see their wonderful creations....
Cheers
