Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #52 - Happy Day Butterflies

Primrose Petals #2
Hi

The Primrose Petals Color Coach card calls for Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Basic Grey. Here is my next Color Coach Journey card......

I was inspired by the image that Stampin' Up! displayed in my project ideas on my Stampin' Up! website.

I loved the watercolour wash background and the acetate & vellum layered flowers....so many different textures, but they came together beautifully!

Hope you like my card!

Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit, In Color Dahlias, Quatrefancy DSP (for the acetate), the Beautiful Butterfly Bigz Die, and the Happy Day stamp set are all on the retired list so if you would like to purchase these then hop to it and put them in your shopping cart asap!

See you at my online store!

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #49 - Happy 'Bee' Day!

Summer Starfruit #1
Hi

Summer Starfruit was one of those colours that seemed to polarise the Stampin' Up! population - you either loved it or you hated it. I love it - it is kinda retro to me, but still can feel modern and bold. For this card on my Color Coach Journey, Summer Starfruit is teamed with Perfect Plum and Smoky Slate.

I really wanted to play with my Stampin' Spritzers and use a mask/stencil for this card. The new SU masks haven't hit Australian shores yet so I used a non-SU stencil on this card as I wanted a hexagon background so as to fit with the challenge theme at Casology this week which is 'Bees'.

I filled my spritzer with a mix of rubbing alcohol and some Summer Starfruit ink refill and sprayed it over my stencil.

My card is also inspired by this sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch....and the "two stamps" challenge at Less is More.

I separated my 'Happy Day' sentiment with a little bee from an old Sale-a-bration set called "Sweet Summer"....it is meant to be a bit of a bee pun....Happy B'day.... :)

Don't forget that Summer Starfruit is a retiring In Color so be quick and go to my online store to order it if you don't already have stocks. Happy Day is also retiring so check that out too. :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Zoo Babies

Hi

I recently bought the Zoo Babies stamp set and couldn't wait to get it inked up and onto a card. :)

It is SO CUTE!

When I saw the colours from Pals Paper Arts and the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch  , I knew that they would be perfect for my Zoo Babies! :)

My windows are recessed and were made using the smallest frame of the Squares Collection Framelits Dies.  I die cut it 9 times to get my windows and then I stamped onto the little squares. The squares were then stuck down onto my card base and the window panel was mounted with dimensionals (cut into tiny little strips), so that it floated on top of my stamped images.

Confession time....I originally wanted this card to be beautiful and clean and white on the top, but after I finished my framelit cutting, I looked at my window piece and some dust must have settled onto my cutting plates and transferred marks onto my white card stock. Since it was late in the night, I didn't want to start all over again, so I just pulled out Gorgeous Grunge and stamped some 'splatter' over the top.

Hope you like my card!

You can click on any of the links below to be taken to that product in my online store. :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! A Dozen Thoughts - Color Coach Card #28

Wisteria Wonder Card #1

Hi

I've now come to Wisteria Wonder on my Color Coach Challenge, and today my coach tells me that Wisteria Wonder is a perfect duo to Elegant Eggplant...and they do look fab together!

Both are quite strong and striking colours so I thought I would keep my card nice and simple so as to let both colours speak.....I put a little bit of gold with the card for a touch of elegance.

The sketch is from CAS(E) this Sketch, and I'm submitting it to the STAMPlorations Blog Challenge this month which asks for feathers! :)

My friend and fellow demo, Madonna Dunn, invited me to play and stamp at her place the other evening, and she has one of those e-cutter things so I took some card stock over to make some feathers. We made a few cards together, talked Stampin' Up!, ate biscuits and discovered we both LOVE the movie Pitch Perfect! :)

It is one of the best things about being a demonstrator....the fun times that are had when you get together and create.

You will see a sneak peek embellishment on my card....it is from the upcoming Occasions catalogue. If you would like a new Occasions catalogue, please send me an email and I'll pop one in the post. The catalogue is available from the 28th of January! I am SO excited!!!!!!! :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Eastern Elegance Christmas Card

Hello!

I made this card for the Dynamic Duos challenge this week but I'm too late blogging it to enter it into the challenge...oh well. I've still published it in time for the Mojo Monday Challenge #320 so all is not lost! :)

The talented Catherine Pooler shared a card recently on StampNation where she made an aperture with a die cut and layered an interesting glimmer texture behind it....it looked really cool and when I made yesterday's cards, I had a groovy square piece of card stock with a lovely snowflake shape negative. I decided I would use it on this card.

Hope you are on track with all your Christmas card making & projects. Give me a yell if you need any supplies....I'd be happy to help you put your order together. :)

Cheers

Blushing Bride Card #2
Dear Stampin' friends,

Here's my final Blushing Bride card for my Stampin’ Up! Color Coach Challenge - the colours here on this card are Blushing Bride, Perfect Plum and Sahara Sand. It took me ages to put these colours together properly...but I'm glad I wend with the layered flower :)

This card uses the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch this week. I love this sketch - it is simple and fun!

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Happy Day - Dynamic Duos #64

Dear Stampin' friends,

I was so excited to make this card....I really wanted to do a simple one layer card with this stamp from 'Happy Day' and I knew when we had this colour challenge at Dynamic Duos that it would be perfect for my card! :)

Here you go....

Now...you definitely need a Stamp-a-majig for this card.....the 'frame' is actually one stamp image stamped 4 times in a rectangle. Do you like it? I like the simplicity of this against the colours that are really bold and dramatic. :)

Be sure to visit the Dynamic Duos Design Team for colour inspiration.....

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #14 - Million and One Thanks

Pink Pirouette Card #2
Dear Stampin' friends,

Pink Pirouette with Sahara Sand and Always Artichoke???!! Are you crazy Mr Color Coach!!?...but lookie here...it works!

This card for my
Stampin’ Up! Color Coach Challenge uses the colours suggested above. Mojo Monday have this lovely simple sketch this week and when I saw it, all I could envisage was gorgeous pink flowers in the top left hand side. I used up some of my Sahara Sand DSP for the vertical panel which provided a lovely neutral backdrop to the pink flowers. The sentiment is from Million and One which Stampin' Up! gave me for FREE!! Such a cool company.....they really look after their demonstrators. :)

Thanks so much for visiting!

Happy Stampin'

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #9 - Flowering Flourishes

Soft Sky Card #3
Dear Stampin' friends

I got the idea for this card from a tutorial that Catherine Pooler posted on her StampNation website where she used the emboss resist technique. I really loved her card and thought the idea would also work well with Soft Sky and Island Indigo, which are the analogous colours on the Soft Sky Color Coach card.  This is Card #9 on my self-imposed Color Coach Challenge!

Do you like it!? I think it has come out quite lovely.....it is on its way to a fellow demo and I hope she likes it. :)

Cheers
Alison

Stampin' Up! Color Coach - Card #6 - Dynamic Duos of Smoky Slate + Basic Grey

Smoky Slate Card #3

Dear Stampin' friends

This card is both a Dynamic Duos creation and the sixth card for my self-imposed Color Coach Challenge!! This combines two shades of grey....Smoky slate and Basic Grey....

When I sat down stood up (I craft standing!) to make this card, I grabbed my Basic Grey scraps and found that I had kept a 'negative' from when I made some grey leaves from the Little Leaves sizzlit. I put it against some Smoky Slate cardstock and it WORKED!!! Add some images from the Happy Day stamp set and some pearls and a card was born!!! :)Please visit the rest of the team from the Dynamic Duos Challenge blog to see what they did with Basic Grey....

Don't forget that you can order any of these items at my online store or by sending me an email or calling 0413 405 139.
