Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Kind Koala

Hi

This card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch....they have a cool challenge this week to use a tag either alone or on a project.

I received Kind Koala and some Crumb Cake Blendabilities in my last order and I couldn't wait to try him out on a project.

I know that koala's are grey, but because there was Sahara Sand in the Moonlight DSP card stock, I thought the Crumb Cake would look better so I took a bit of artistic licence here. :)

Hope you like my card!

You can buy any of these supplies at my online store....just click the links below. :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Flower Shop - Just Add Ink! Color Coach Card #34

Tempting Turquoise #1

Hi

What a groovy little sketch the guys at Just Add Ink have this week!

This card is a Color Coach Journey card using Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Tangerine Tango....which is a bit of a weird combo but nice and bright against a backdrop of white. :)

I don't often do 'get well' cards, but I wanted something to go with the cheery 'drawn' flower and the wavy real red DSP. I saw this sentiment in Sassy Salutations and thought it would be cool. :)

The sentiment is heat embossed with Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder.

Don't forget to visit my online store if you need anything! :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! A Dozen Thoughts - Color Coach Card #28

Wisteria Wonder Card #1

Hi

I've now come to Wisteria Wonder on my Color Coach Challenge, and today my coach tells me that Wisteria Wonder is a perfect duo to Elegant Eggplant...and they do look fab together!

Both are quite strong and striking colours so I thought I would keep my card nice and simple so as to let both colours speak.....I put a little bit of gold with the card for a touch of elegance.

The sketch is from CAS(E) this Sketch, and I'm submitting it to the STAMPlorations Blog Challenge this month which asks for feathers! :)

My friend and fellow demo, Madonna Dunn, invited me to play and stamp at her place the other evening, and she has one of those e-cutter things so I took some card stock over to make some feathers. We made a few cards together, talked Stampin' Up!, ate biscuits and discovered we both LOVE the movie Pitch Perfect! :)

It is one of the best things about being a demonstrator....the fun times that are had when you get together and create.

You will see a sneak peek embellishment on my card....it is from the upcoming Occasions catalogue. If you would like a new Occasions catalogue, please send me an email and I'll pop one in the post. The catalogue is available from the 28th of January! I am SO excited!!!!!!! :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - You Are My Sunshine Stamp

Hi

Recently on StampNation, there was a challenge called "Outside My Window"....well I live in Brisbane, Australia and at the moment there is crazy amounts of daily thunderstorm activity and last night there was even a tornado in the next town over. Thunderstorms are commonplace in tropical Brisbane, but tornados are not.

This photo wasn't exactly "outside my window" but it was taken by a storm-watcher not far from my place last week....look at that amazing storm cell structure!!!

So I set about trying to create a card inspired by this photo.

The other day, I caught a post from CASE Study and realised that I had never entered one of their challenges.....mainly due to a lack of confidence as their CASE Study muses are always SO talented. This week's challenge was no exception, but I took the FB post as a bit of a "sign", got up the courage, and thought about how this card below 'spoke' to me....well, it was the chevrons of course...but also the partially obscured flower features. It is very modern & cool.

...and so my card was born....the fluffy white clouds against a sunshine-y sky.....with the chevron and  flower references....and a sentiment that promises love despite whatever struggles may appear before us. :)

Hope you all like it! Please comment if you do. :)

Materials used:
Stamp - Sunshine (single clear stamp), Positively Chevrons
Ink - Basic Grey, Stazon
Cardstock - Whisper White, Basic Grey, Summer Starfruit, Silver Glimmer Paper (on button).
Accessories - Summer Starfruit button & die-cut doily (from a kit that's now retired)
Tools - Big Shot, Cloudy Day Embossing Folder, Edgelits Adorning Accents, Glue Dots, Paper Snips, Stampin' Trimmer, Boho Blossoms Punch, SNAIL.

Stampin' Up! Australia - Happy Day - Dynamic Duos #61

Dear Stampin friends,

The colour combo today at Dynamic Duos is Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand.

....and it took me aaaages to come up with something. I used the bouncing brayer technique again to create a background with the two colours, then stamped it with the medallion image from Stampin' Up's Happy Day stamp set. I have also stamped it with the same image using the Illuminate ink to give a shimmery effect but you can't see it in the photo.

I added some flourish stamps and bling to finish it off and stamped a giant SMILE sentiment :)

Hope you like my card. Make sure you visit the rest of the design team for inspiration:

Stampin Up! Australia - Tag A Bag Accessories - Get Well Soon!

Dear Stampin friends

IT'S HERE!!! IT'S HERE!!! THE NEW 2013-2014 ANNUAL CATALOGUE IS HERE!!! :) You can download your brand new catalogue here or from over on my sidebar. :)

There are a feast of new products to behold but here I'm showing you what you can make with the 'Tag a Bag' product range.

Here is one of the 'Tag a Bag' Gift Bags (131370 $6.95) with the 'Tag a Bag' Accessory Kit (130153 $13.95). The husband of a friend needed some TLC recently so I made him some chocolate-chip cookies and delivered them in this cute little package! You even get the cute little pegs and the twine in the Accessory Kit!!

I stamped the tag with the 'get well' sentiment from the new 'Tag It' stamp set in Bermuda Bay - a brand new colour. 'Tag It' is  $39.95 (Woodmount 130300) or $31.95 (Clearmount 130303). The best bit is that $3 from each 'Tag It' stamp set sold will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities. :)

Stampin' Up! Color Coach #1......plus sneak peeks...

Hello Stampin' friends!

So....here's the first post of my epic blog-a-thon....

I was going to do the posts in order of the colours of the Color Coach, but there are some fab NEW colours coming our way so I thought I would showcase those first....because I just can't help myself...

Introducing......

CRUSHED CURRY!

This card features Crushed Curry with Island Indigo and Real Red.....they are three strong colours which make for a bold colour mash!

I teamed it with a new stamp set and accessory that we received at Stampin' Up! Convention last month....but I can't tell you what they are called....you will have to wait until 2 July....[unless of course you are reading this from the US and Canada and then you probably KNOW what these are...so there's no surprises on this card for you! ;) ]

Hope you like my first card for this challenge!
Cheers
