Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Christmas Card

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's challenge this week is an elegant vintage centrepiece in vanilla & black tones. It is also the 2nd year anniversary for The Card Concept Challenge...big congratulations to Lesley & the team! :)

Here are the essentials:

  • I was inspired by the print music in the image so I used a sheet from a retired Christmas paper - it’s the sheet music for Silent Night. :)
  • The colours of the image set the palette for my card - vanilla & black.
  • I used Black Satin ribbon just like the one in the image.
  • I took inspiration from CASE This Sketch for the layout and Merry Monday for the theme of my card.

Here’s the inspiration image.....

I hope you like my card! :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree Christmas Card

Hi!

Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop! Welcome from Rebecca's blog!

This week the Blog Hop challenge is all about CASE-ing a project inspired by the Winter Wonderland suite from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalogue.

CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything.  This whole blog hop is about using the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to help you create.  Sometimes crafters need a springboard to just get started and the catalogues are certainly a demonstrator or customer's best resource.

I don't have the Wonderland stamp set (yet), so I improvised with the Lovely As A Tree stamp set and  an old set of snowflakes from a vintage set, Snow Swirled.

Here's my inspiration image:

I hope you like my card. If you have been inspired by it and would like to support my creative business, all the supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store.

Stampin' Up! Australia - Christmas Flower Patch Card

Hi

Here's a card that I made with everyone's favourite "Stamp Set of the Moment", Flower Patch!

I am part of a Facebook demonstrator group called "Elite Stampers" and we love to share ideas with one another, answer questions and generally have a great old crafty time. If you join my team, you will get to join this group too!

The challenge this week was to create a Christmas Card with a non-Christmas stamp set. The sketch at Retrosketches inspired me and BAM.....a Christmas card with the Flower Patch stamp set was born!

I hope you like it.

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Christmas Pinwheel Card

Dear Everyone

I saw this pinwheel card & video on Dawn Olchefske's blog a while ago and when I was creating some Christmas cards this year I thought of doing a Christmas-themed pinwheel card.

I contacted Dawn to see if she would give her blessing for me to share this CASE'd card and she was gracious & kind enough to give it! :)

I used the Season of Style Paper Stack DSP for my pinwheel and back of the window.

You can buy supplies for this card at my online store. Note, the pinwheel sizzlit is retired, but you can make a pinwheel with a 2.5in x 2.5 inch piece of square card and some scissors - just make diagonal cuts from the corner towards, but not into, the centre of the card. Curl the corners in, pierce with your piercing tool and fasten with a brad! :)

Hope you like my card!

Cheers
Alison

Materials used:
Stamp - Greetings of the Season
Ink - Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock - Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Season of Style Paper Stack
Accessories - misc brad
Tools - Big Shot, Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (Holiday Catalogue), Pinwheel Sizzlit (retired), Paper Piercing Tool, Piercing Mat, Word Window Punch, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals, 5c pieces (for spinning mechanism).

Stampin' Up! Australia - Less is More #147 - Stampin' Up! Bird Punch Christmas Card

Hi

I had seen earlier today that the challenge this week at Less Is More was to use a bird on your card. This afternoon, my little boys were playing with their box of discarded punched pieces and they were making little collages on cardboard....it was all very cute. I found this little bird that I think was punched from a random piece of card or backing of something...it's not quite kraft or Crumb Cake...it's more like thin cardboard but it has a nice colour & feel, so I picked it up from where they were playing and put it on my craft table for inspiration.

I had already made a couple of Christmas Cards this evening and I found some vanilla card stock that had already been cut into 3 rectangles (left over from a card class kit). I put my little cardboard bird on one of them and the card just came into being from there....

If you like this card and are inspired by it to make your own, then support my business & creativity and purchase your craft supplies at my online store. :)

Cheers
Alison

Stampin' Up! Australia - Pink Christmas Card

Hi

I liked my pink birthday card so much that I made this Christmas Card too.

It's a non-traditional Christmas card that was inspired by THE most gorgeous card that Catherine Pooler shared at StampNation. She used a lovely pink festive DSP and it really looked amazing.

This isn't entirely Stampin' Up! but we all have some stuff laying about from pre-SU days don't we!!?

Hope you like it. :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Season of Style DSP

Hi

Just a short blog post today so that I can show you a couple of really cool & quick Christmas Cards that I did using the Stampin' Up! Season of Style Paper Stack from the Holiday Catalogue.

The layout and idea came from the very talented Catherine Pooler over at StampNation - she's so great and shares the most creative stuff with us on the StampNation forums. It really gets my mojo peakin'!

Very easy to mass-produce!

If you like this card and are inspired to make your own, then support my business and purchase your supplies from my online store.  All the elements can be found in the store (except for the bird wreath which is retired, but any wreath stamp would be great....the 'Wonderful Wreath' #132748...would be perfect for this!)

Cheers
Alison

Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Cardstock - Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Season of Style Paper Stack

Stampin' Up! Australia - Greetings of the Season - Dynamic Duos #76

Hi!

Today's card for Dynamic Duos uses the colour palette of Wisteria Wonder and Perfect Plum. They look great with silver so I made my card using some brushed silver card stock and a gorgeous silver frame.

I'm ramping up my Christmas Card stash so I took this opportunity to make one using the colours. I put a sheet of vellum in the metal frame to give a frosted look to the sentiment.

Be sure to visit The Dynamic Duos Challenge Blog for inspiration or

If you love this card and want to support my business and creativity then I invite you to browse through my online store.

Cheers
