Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up Christmas Card - Wondrous Wreath

Hi!
Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop and welcome from Anna's blog. :)

I freaked out a bit at all the layers on this card but you will see that I cheated a bit with the opposing circle elements and made these some metallic twine design features.

I also looked to Paper Pals Arts for their colour combination this week and I went with a non-traditional Christmas card in colours of Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand and Always Artichoke.

Here is the sketch for this week...

Here is the colour palette from Pals Paper Arts:

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #90 - Stampin' Up! Blendabilities

Old Olive #2

#ColorCoachJourney

Hi

I was excited to see on the Color Coach card for Old Olive that all three colours....Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, and Pumpkin Pie, have Blendabilities! I immediately started to think about which stamp sets would look beautiful with these colours and the exclusive Hostess Set I Like You sprang to mind! It is so pretty.

I was inspired by the sketch at Pals Paper Arts this week as the circles were the perfect platforms for my little flower images.

I hope you like my card.  If you have been inspired by it and would like to support my creative business, all the supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store.

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Mosaic Madness - CASE-ing The Catty

Hi

At CASE-ing the Catty this week, we are exploring the Thanks chapter of the catalogue.

CASE - The acronym stands for COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING. The latest Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue certainly encourages crafters to do just that as it is jam packed with amazing, inspirational projects.

The idea is to feature a section of the Stampin' Up! ® catalogue each week using the projects in the catty as inspiration.

You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations.

Here's a Badge to paste to your blog:

Guidelines

  •   Create a new project for the current challenge (no back linking)
  • Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back to the challenge blog so others can join in on the fun.
    • Let us know what project you CASED and make reference to the page of your country's catalogue where you got your inspiration.
    • Only Stampin' Up! products (retired or current) may be used in your projects for CTC Challenges.
    So let's go!

I decided to CASE the "So Grateful" journal on page 153 of the catalogue....I liked the colours that were used (Mossy Meadow and Crushed Curry) and the fact they used Naturals White Cardstock .....gives me an opportunity to step away from Whisper White which is the card stock I am most addicted to. :)

I'm also submitting this to The Paper Players challenge this week since they are all about "Happy Fall Y'all" cards and even though we don't have fall in Australia, the colours on this Thank You card are autumnal and warm and make me think of autumn days in the Northern Hemisphere.

Here's the example from the catalogue:

    ...and here is my version....

This is more collaged and layered than my usual style but I like the expanse of the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder on the Naturals White card stock, with all the detail in the lower third of the card. It feels lovely too in real life with the burlap, the soft chevron ribbon, and the Typeset DSP providing gorgeous contrasting texture.

I stamped my envelope with a matching stamp from Mosaic Madness....LOVE the look of Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla....it is striking and warm.

Do you stamp your envelopes...you should....it is fun!

Hope you like my card. Just click on the links below to order these supplies. The 'THANKS" sentiment is retired but I have put a substitute in the gallery for you.

    Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Zoo Babies

    Hi

I recently bought the Zoo Babies stamp set and couldn't wait to get it inked up and onto a card. :)

    It is SO CUTE!

When I saw the colours from Pals Paper Arts and the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch  , I knew that they would be perfect for my Zoo Babies! :)

My windows are recessed and were made using the smallest frame of the Squares Collection Framelits Dies.  I die cut it 9 times to get my windows and then I stamped onto the little squares. The squares were then stuck down onto my card base and the window panel was mounted with dimensionals (cut into tiny little strips), so that it floated on top of my stamped images.

Confession time....I originally wanted this card to be beautiful and clean and white on the top, but after I finished my framelit cutting, I looked at my window piece and some dust must have settled onto my cutting plates and transferred marks onto my white card stock. Since it was late in the night, I didn't want to start all over again, so I just pulled out Gorgeous Grunge and stamped some 'splatter' over the top.

    Hope you like my card!

You can click on any of the links below to be taken to that product in my online store. :)

    Cheers
