Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Star of Light Christmas Card

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept this week is a beautiful mint green typewriter with a spray of shabby chic flowers.

I am still stocking up my Christmas Card stash so I thought a soft pastel toned festive card would be lovely!

I used the new ‘Star of Light’ stamp set and found that there is a cool ‘two step’ stamp in it which looks like I have carefully shaded the snowflake image when in fact, it is just a perfectly layered second stamp!

I stamped the main image in Melon Mambo and the second layer in Flirty Flamingo.  It looks SO GOOD in real life! I might make more of these cards....I think this is my favourite Christmas card in my stash now!

Here’s the inspiration image:

I was also inspired by the sketch at CASE This Sketch this week.

I hope you like my card! :)

I have closed my online store but I am still an active demonstrator so if you would like to place an order feel free to email me. :)

Cheers

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Merry Medley

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's challenge this week is a delicious assortment of fresh summer gelato flavours! mmmmm gelato! I recently returned from a week’s holiday at Coolum Beach and was lucky enough to partake in Gelato Mio’s offerings daily!

I was inspired by the colours and thought it would be fun to make a start on my Christmas cards but use a non-traditional colour scheme.

I used Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum inks in an ombre design on the Merry Medley background stamp.

What do you think?

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Christmas Card

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's challenge this week is an elegant vintage centrepiece in vanilla & black tones. It is also the 2nd year anniversary for The Card Concept Challenge...big congratulations to Lesley & the team! :)

Here are the essentials:

  • I was inspired by the print music in the image so I used a sheet from a retired Christmas paper - it’s the sheet music for Silent Night. :)
  • The colours of the image set the palette for my card - vanilla & black.
  • I used Black Satin ribbon just like the one in the image.
  • I took inspiration from CASE This Sketch for the layout and Merry Monday for the theme of my card.

Here’s the inspiration image.....

I hope you like my card! :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Christmas Card

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's challenge this week is a beautiful basket of pink Easter eggs.

Here are the essentials:

  • I don't really sent Easter cards so I took my cue from the holiday idea and created a Christmas card.
  • The pinks on the eggs reminded me of a retired colour from Stampin' Up called Regal Rose...so pretty on shimmer white paper!
  • A giant rhinestone is the perfect finishing touch to the ornament.

Here’s the inspiration image.....

I hope you like my card! :)

Card recipe
Stamps - Cozy Christmas, Ornament Keepsakes
Ink - Regal Rose
Cardstock - Regal Rose, Shimmer White, Kraft
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot, Holiday Ornaments Framelit Dies.

The brand NEW Occasions catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration catalogues are out now. If you would like your own copy (Australian readers only), just send me an email. :)

Cheers

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Merry Moments DSP Christmas Card

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

Here are the essentials:

  • I was very time-poor this week so I thought I would get the Designer Series Paper to do all the talking. I took artistic licence with the sketch and the graphic snowflakes from Merry Moments are the circle elements from the sketch.
  • Boo-boos! Don’t you hate it when something smudges on your card after you have stuck your layers down? My sentiment banner was going to be down the bottom of the patterned paper layer but a suspicious smudge appeared further up so the sentiment HAD to move. :)
  • Heat Embossing! You know how I said I was time poor?...well I have this mental block about heat embossing thinking that it is time consuming, but you know what...it isn’t! Just have all your tools out ready and it doesn’t take long at all. You need an Embossing Buddy, Versamark, Emboss Powder and your Heat Tool....plus a tray or some paper to catch excess powder. Easy and surprisingly quick! White always looks great on a dark background too.
  • Don’t forget your embellishments....and they look better in threes! I used the White Perfect Accents here to add to the modern and simple look.
  • Make Christmas Cards all year round. I make Christmas cards all year round so that I have about 80 to send out in early December....it means that November isn’t a mad rush to knock up a heap of cards. :)

Here is our sketch for this week:

Card recipe

Stamp - Embellished Ornaments
Ink - Versamark
Cardstock - Whisper White Thick Cardstock, Mossy Meadow, Merry Moments DSP, Real Red
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL, Emboss Buddy, Heat Tool, White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
Accessories - Perfect White Accents

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Cheers

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Lost Lagoon Christmas Card

Hi!

Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop! Welcome from Rachel’s blog.

This week the Blog Hop challenge is all about CASE-ing a project from a fellow Design Team member! I am CASE-ing Kathryn today. :)

Today is the final CTC for the year and the team will be back in the New Year for some exciting inspiration from the new catalogues. Sadly I have stepped down from the team due to personal commitments, but I may pop in from time to time and play along with them as an avid fan!

I loved this beautiful Lost Lagoon card that Kathryn created a few weeks ago and I wanted to CASE it for today’s challenge. Instead of the flower that Kathryn used, I made a silver Christmas ornament.

Here's my inspiration image:

Click below to go to Kathryn’s blog and see who she has CASE'd...

Stamp - Cozy Christmas
Ink - Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate
Cardstock - Whisper White, Lost Lagoon, Silver Foil, Silver Glimmer Paper
