Stampin' Up! Australia - Hip Hip Hooray Birthday card

Hi

I was looking for ways of using up some of my hoarded DSP when I remembered one of the first sketches I was ever taught as a newbie card maker.

2 strips of DSP equal widths on the base with a square in the middle. EASY...and the best part is that it always looks good!

The Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper coordinates so well and was perfect for my card.

I also thought I would drag out an old set - Hip Hip Hooray - from March 2014 to be exact so I could play along with a challenge site that I have had my eye on for some time....the Retro Rubber Challenge. They are having an 'Anything Goes' challenge this week so it is a good one to start on.

I hope you like my card. If you have been inspired by it and would like to support my creative business, all the supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store.

The 2015 Occasions Catalogue is still current so if you would like to go on my mailing list and receive your free copy, just send me an email. :)

Alternatively, you may download the catalogue here!

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Birthday Bash and Amazing Birthday

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

I made this card with the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper and the Amazing Birthday stamp set. The patterns are very bold so it doesn't need a whole lot of embellishment.

The bow was made using the Bow Builder Punch - so cute! I did a little bit of paper piecing with the stamped sentiment just to add some colour and layers.

Here are the fun colours for this week's challenge:

I used the sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch to help me out this week. :)

Card recipe

Stamp - Amazing Birthday
Ink - Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral
Cardstock - Night of Navy, Whisper White, Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper
Accessories - Subtles Candy Dots
Tools - Bow Builder Punch, Glue Dots, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Cheers
