Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Christmas Card

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's challenge this week is an elegant vintage centrepiece in vanilla & black tones. It is also the 2nd year anniversary for The Card Concept Challenge...big congratulations to Lesley & the team! :)

Here are the essentials:

• I was inspired by the print music in the image so I used a sheet from a retired Christmas paper - it’s the sheet music for Silent Night. :)
• The colours of the image set the palette for my card - vanilla & black. 
• I used Black Satin ribbon just like the one in the image.
• I took inspiration from CASE This Sketch for the layout and Merry Monday for the theme of my card.

I took my colour cues from Merry Monday this week. They have a Blue, White with texture challenge...so I used Night of Navy, White and 3 textures....silver foil, embossed stars and a metallic snowflake.

Stampin' Up! Australia - Build A Birthday + Wondrous Wreath Christmas Card

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

When I saw these colours, I knew I wanted to create a Christmas card, but I wasn't sure how to theme it. I looked to Merry Monday this week for their challenge and saw it was 'Candles and Flowers'....perfect!

I used Build-A-Birthday and Wondrous Wreath to make a modern layered Christmas card. The candle flames were stamped in Crumb Cake and heat embossed over the top with Iridescent Ice embossing powder - they are lovely and sparkly. :)

I also got to use the gorgeous 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon in Lost Lagoon...looks great against the Very Vanilla card stock in real life. Makes a very rustic bow.

Stampin' Up! - Merry Monday - Christmas Card Stars!

I almost forgot to blog this card that I made for the Merry Monday Challenge this week.

The sentiment was from a retired hostess set, but really any festive sentiment would be great on this card.

I layered some Silver Glimmer paper behind the confetti punched stars for extra sparkle!

Stampin' Up! Australia - Get Your Santa On - Merry Monday Christmas Challenge

It's always good to continue to make Christmas cards throughout the year so you have a bursting festive stash come November. :)

At Merry Monday, the challenge this week is to make a card featuring the big red guy himself, Santa!

Here's my card:

I used a retired stamp set called "Get Your Santa On" and some Designer Series Paper called Nordic Noel from the recent Holiday catalogue. Nordic Noel is STILL available on the clearance rack - YAY!

I used Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities and Smoky Slate Blendabilities for Santa's coat, boots and gloves. I put Wink of Stella on his beard and snowy trim. 

While I had the supplies out, I thought I would CASE a beautiful card by Diana Eichfeld - I changed up the DSP (I used Nordic Noel again) and the sketch a little bit, but I kept her adorable Gold Button and ribbon and her choice of stamp set and embossed background. Such a cute card!
