Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect + English Garden DSP

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

Here are the essentials:

  • Soft Suede & Mossy Meadow are in the English Garden DSP pack so since they are 2 out of the 3 colours this week, why not use them!?
  • I layered the leaves for a soft effect against the flower from the Picture Perfect stamp set.
  • The Watermelon Wonder ribbon is slightly sheer, so to colour block, I added some Watermelon Wonder card stock underneath it. Looks perfect!

Here are our colours for this week:

Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday:

Card recipe

Stamp - Picture Perfect
Ink - Watermelon Wonder, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock - Whisper White cardstock, English Garden DSP, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL, 2 3/4 circle punch
Accessories - Metallic Doily, Rhinestone, Watermelon Wonder Ribbon

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Botanical Gardens + Happy Birthday Everyone

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

Here are the essentials:

  • I wanted to use a bold pattern as my background and have all the other elements as miniature pieces. Botanical Gardens DSP has some amazing patterns and I chose the leafy one for this card.
  • The angled greeting took on a life of its own and became a tag. I used the Gold Glitter Tape and made a faux-ribbon.
  • Use your scraps! I had a doily-cut off, a vellum scrap piece and a gold glimmer butterfly that I had punched but not used sitting in my embellishments case. I threw them on this card and it worked in an eclectic kinda way.

Here is our sketch for this week:

Card recipe

Stamp - Happy Birthday Everyone
Ink - Mossy Meadow
Cardstock - Whisper White cardstock, Botanical Gardens DSP, Botanical Gardens Vellum, Gold Glimmer Paper
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL, Itty Butterfly Punch, Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Paper Snips
Accessories - Metallic Sequins, Gold Glitter Tape, Doily

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Cheers

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Framelit Die

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

Here are the essentials:

  • No white cardstock!! A complete departure of style for me, but only in the colour department...I've still kept the design simple and let the colours speak for themselves.
  • Kraft + wood. Wooden elements work beautifully with Kraft cardstock - try it!
  • Keep the die cut intact. I kept the intricate pieces of the butterfly intact for effect - just make the Big Shot sandwich shallower so that the pieces don't get cut all the way through.
  • Use up your DSP! I used a sheet of the Bermuda Bay stripey DSP from the Shine On Specialty DSP pack.

Here are our colours for this week:

Card recipe

Stamp - none!
Ink - none!
Cardstock - Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Shine On DSP
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL, Bold Butterfly Framelit Die, Big Shot, Fine Tip Glue Pen.
Accessories - Natural Expressions Element

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Cheers

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Botanical Gardens DSP

Hi!

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop and welcome from Leah’s blog.

I took inspiration for this card from the sketch at CASE This Sketch this week (see below).

Here are the essentials.....

  • DSP is Botanical Gardens from the new Occasions catalogue. I love this print of mint flowers.
  • I used a retired edgelit die cut to give me the curve, only because I can’t cut with scissors artistically.
  • The DSP panel (prior to slicing in half) is about 4 cms shorter than the base card and 1/2 cm narrower. How short your floating DSP panel is really depends on how much space your sentiment needs in the middle so experiment with scrap paper first. :)
  • To float the DSP over the card....you may use dimensionals BUT...you will need a LOT to create a sturdy layer so what I did was this....you know the cardboard backing that comes with the glimmer paper and foil papers?....well I cut that to the same size as my DSP and stuck that on with Fast Fuse Adhesive.....it is sturdy and won’t bend and gives a lovely appearance that the DSP is floating over the card.
  • I used the Botanical Builder Framelit Dies for my flower. Mossy Meadow for the leaves (rule of 3 people!), Rose Red for the flower (sponged around the edges and curled).
  • The middle of my flower is the Crushed Curry paper from the Cotton Paper Assortment (Annual catalogue). It looks AMAZING on flowers. I cut two of the same framelit and layered them.
  • The final finishes to the flower are some Wink of Stella (Clear) on the Rose Red leaves and a Mint Macaron flower from the In Color Blossom Accents pack.
  • Glue Dots hold the layers of the flower together.
  • The sentiment is from Build A Birthday. Unless you already have a curved sentiment stamp, reach for a photopolymer greeting stamp.....curve it onto your acrylic block....stamp. Voila - you have a curved sentiment!
  • Important...stamp your greeting BEFORE you adhere your floating DSP...you may want to put some pencil guide marks in first.
  • Envelope - created using the Envelope Punch Board and the In Color Envelope Paper. I made the envelope slightly bigger than normal to allow for the leaves off the side of the card. I stamped this with the coordinating Botanical Blooms stamps from the Occasions catalogue.

Here is our colour palette:

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration - Botanicals For You

Hi!

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop and welcome from Anna’s blog.

I’m still loving this stamp set....it’s the large greeting stamp and that font! :)

I used the colour palette from ColourQ this week...Melon Mambo for the font from “Botanicals for You” and Kraft, Pool Party, Blushing Bride & Melon Mambo for the detail at the top of the card.

These flower pieces were die cut with the new Botanical Builder Framelit Dies. The Blushing Bride flower was sponged around the outside with Blushing Bride ink and then Melon Mambo ink...just to give it an authentic look. I then painted it with the Wink of Stella pen in clear.

I stamped underneath the flower detail with Pool Party and I did the same inside the card.

I thought it would be fun to decorate my envelope too. :)

Here is our sketch for this week:

Here are the beautiful colours over at ColourQ this week:

Casology are keeping things SIMPLE this week so I hope this fits the bill. :)

I ended up with some extra die cut pieces so I made a second card with the same colours.

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Ride

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

I just can’t put this stamp away....it’s adorable!

The stamp is “Beautiful Ride” from the new Occasions Catalogue. I stamped it in Black Stazon and watercoloured it in Pear Pizzazz. The brown tones are where the Pear Pizzazz ink ‘splits’....it looks great! The windows were watercoloured in a light wash of Bermuda Bay and the tyres lightly in Basic Black.

The background DSP is also NEW! It is from the “Shine On" Designer Series Paper Pack. One side is Kraft plus coloured patterns and the other side is Kraft + Metallics patterns. It is fantastic!

I matted this on some Blackberry Bliss card stock and mounted it onto a Kraft card stock base.

The garden was created using Fringed Scissors and Pear Pizzazz card stock (grass) and Blackberry Bliss CS punched with a small flower punch (I used the retired Itty Bitty Punches, but the Itty Bitty Accents pack has a cute flower in it too!).

I added a border of Bermuda Bay sequins on the bottom of the watercolour panel and just for fun I stapled some Blackberry Bliss striped cotton ribbon onto the panel also.

As you can see, this card has a tonne of elements and isn’t really my usual style, but I had so much fun making it. :)

The envelope? I made this with my Envelope Punch Board and the new Neutrals Envelope Paper - there are Crumb Cake pages and they are perfect to pair with a Kraft based card. I stamped the VW Beetle onto the envelope in Blackberry Bliss.

Here are our colours for the challenge this week :)

Card recipe

Stamp - Beautiful Ride (Occasions catalogue)
Ink - Black Stazon, Pear Pizzazz, Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black

Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Aquapainter, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Fringed Scissors, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Stapler
Accessories - Blackberry Bliss Striped Cotton Ribbon, Bermuda Bay sequin ribbon, Pearls

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Ride - Volkswagen Beetle stamp

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's this week is a beautiful image of a marshmallow heart floating in a gorgeous mug of hot chocolate!

I was inspired by the heart theme as well as the warm-ness of the chocolate so I thought I would combine the red and kraft colours. I couldn’t wait to colour in my new ‘Beautiful Ride’ Volkswagen Beetle stamp! It is in the new Occasions catalogue - squeeeee!

It also happens to be my husband’s parents’ 47th wedding anniversary and I thought this would make a cute card.

I coloured my ‘bug’ with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities...remember them!? I chose Shimmer White card stock so the bug is cool and shimmery.

The patterned paper is a retired paper stack called “Stacked with Love”....so cute for Anniversary and Valentine cards.

Here's the inspiration image.....

Card recipe
Stamps - Beautiful Ride, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities, Smoky Slate Blendabilities
Cardstock - Real Red, Stacked with Love DSP, Basic Black, Shimmery White Cardstock, Kraft
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, SNAIL, Big Shot, Heart Framelits, Paper Snips

I hope you like my card. Click on the links below to be taken to the recipe items in my online store.

The brand NEW Occasions catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration catalogues are out now. If you would like your own copy (Australian readers only), just send me an email. :)
