Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #108 - Nuts About You

Calypso Coral #2

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop.

My card today uses the Color Coach colours of Calypso Coral, Chocolate Chip and Wild Wasabi.

When I re-examine this card, there are a couple of things missing that I would add:

1. A sentiment....I just couldn't make it work so I left it off.
2. Some sort of texturing or stamping on the middle Chocolate Chip band. I like the Wild Wasabi twine, but I think it needs something extra.

So....as I was writing this blog post, I LITERALLY got up and pulled the card apart and put it back together again with the aforementioned suggestions.

Which one do you like best? The minimalist part of me now likes the first one! **sigh**

Welcome to another Artful Stampers Blog Hop....welcome from Anna Foster's blog.

Can you believe this is the first time I have inked up 'Nuts About You'? It is just SO adorable.

...and yes, my Soft Suede ink pad needs re-inking! :O

I hardly ever use ribbon on my cards but this one uses 4 different ones....Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon, Old Olive Taffeta, Crisp Cantaloupe Thick Bakers Twine (which I pulled apart to make it thinner) and the Calypso Coral polyester ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. The button is from this pack too.

The stunning DSP is Park Lane.

Here are our colours....and as I type this I realise I have neglected to include Baked Brown Sugar...and it is too late to add something now!! Wah! Whoops. Just pretend the Soft Suede mat behind the DSP is Baked Brown Sugar. :)

The sketch is from Mojo Monday this week....there's so much you could do with this!
