Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #89 - Tag A Bag Gift Box

Garden Green #2

It was my brother's birthday recently so I whipped up a batch of his favourite chocolate chip cookies and put together a gift box for him. The colours on my gift box are Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz from the Color Coach suggestion.

I always have a pack of the Tag A Bag Gift Boxes on hand as they are the perfect size for biscuit treats or small gifts. They are easy to personalise.....some patterned paper, some ribbon and a gift tag and they are done!

The gift boxes themselves are food-safe Kraft card stock and they come with a plastic sleeve. I created a cover with the Garden Green page from the Nordic Noel Designer Series Paper (still available on the clearance rack!) I used the Pear Pizzazz Chevron Ribbon to wrap around the box and then embellished with some linen thread, a clothespin and a couple of tags punched with the new Note Tag Punch. The sentiment is from Celebrate Today and has been stamped with Garden Green (sentiment) and Pear Pizzazz (bunting flags).

Stampin' Up! Australia - Get Your Santa On - Merry Monday Christmas Challenge

It's always good to continue to make Christmas cards throughout the year so you have a bursting festive stash come November. :)

At Merry Monday, the challenge this week is to make a card featuring the big red guy himself, Santa!

Here's my card:

I used a retired stamp set called "Get Your Santa On" and some Designer Series Paper called Nordic Noel from the recent Holiday catalogue. Nordic Noel is STILL available on the clearance rack - YAY!

I used Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities and Smoky Slate Blendabilities for Santa's coat, boots and gloves. I put Wink of Stella on his beard and snowy trim.

While I had the supplies out, I thought I would CASE a beautiful card by Diana Eichfeld - I changed up the DSP (I used Nordic Noel again) and the sketch a little bit, but I kept her adorable Gold Button and ribbon and her choice of stamp set and embossed background. Such a cute card!

Stampin' Up! Australia - CASEing The Catty - Stampin' Up! Nordic Noel Santa

At CASE-ing the Catty this week, we are exploring the various Christmas Cards of the new Holiday Catalogue.

CASE - The acronym stands for COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING. The latest Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue certainly encourages crafters to do just that as it is jam packed with amazing, inspirational projects.

The idea is to feature a section of the Stampin' Up! ® catalogue each week using the projects in the catty as inspiration.

You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations.

Guidelines

Create a new project for the current challenge (no back linking)

Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back to the challenge blog so others can join in on the fun.

I decided to CASE the "Get Your Santa On" card on on page 30 of the Holiday Catalogue.

Here's what I made:

Rather than a Sahara Sand base layer I layered my card onto Whisper White with a mat of Garden Green. The DSP is from Nordic Noel - a fun patterned paper pack from the 2014 Holiday Catalogue. The Nordic Designer button and Real Red Satin Woven Ribbon are also from the Holiday Catalogue.

I rounded the top left and right corners of my DSP and Santa layer with the Project Life Corner Rounder Punch.

Santa from "Get Your Santa On" is coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities, Smoky Slate Blendabilities and the Skin Tone Assortment Blendabilities. I coloured his cheeks with the 'Naturals' marker and his face with the 'Nude' marker.

You can't see it in the photo, but I put some Dazzling Details sparkle on the pom-pom on his hat for some added bling. :)
