Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Build A Birthday - Artful Stampers & Just Add Ink Challenge

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop and welcome from Nicole's blog. 

Look at this beautiful colour combination that we have to work with this week....they are 2/3rd Regals colours but that didn't stop me turning out a bright birthday card with the use of Build A Birthday and some washi tape.

I also made a Delightful Dijon-coloured envelope from the In Color Envelope Paper pack using the Envelope Punch Board. I'm using this tool SO much more now due to these fun papers. They are slightly thinner than normal card stock so they fold beautifully. I stamped a tone-on-tone birthday candle onto the envelope too. :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #119 - Stampin' Up! Floral Wings

Today's card uses Color Coach colours of Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.

It is another sneak peek of Floral Wings which is fast becoming my favourite new stamp set from the new catalogue. I love it!

There's also a sneak peek of the new Metallic Sequins Assortment - silver sequins, as well as gold, black, clear and white.

I was inspired by the sketch at Just Add Ink and the inspiration challenge at The Paper Players. My Tic-Tac-Toe choices are Sequins, Flower & Yellow.

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #88 - Bokeh Flourishes

Hi

I've been on a Bokeh technique roll recently and with this card I wanted to experiment with sponging a second colour over the top and stamping a background. If you would like to look at my other Bokeh cards, just click here.

I used the Color Coach colours of Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party for my watercolour wash background and sponged Whisper White Craft ink and Smoky Slate Classic ink over as my bokeh dots.

I stamped in all three colours using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set to make a unique piece of patterned paper.

I was inspired the 'Thank You Card" theme at Just Add Ink and also by this sketch from Always Playing With Paper (I mirrored the sketch):

I coloured my Jewel Rhinestones with the darkest Smoky Slate Blendabilities marker - it makes them look vintage....you should try it! They look amazing!!!

Stampin' Up! Australia - Photopolymer Show & Tell

This card was meant to be my Soft Sky #1 on the Color Coach journey, but I had forgotten that I had already done this combination last July. Click here to view that card.  

Oh well. 

I actually like this card more than I liked that one. :)

Just Add Ink have this really cool sketch going on this week....I love the diagonals and the sketch lends itself perfectly to my new photopolymer Show & Tell stamps.

I like that you can see through the photopolymer stamp.....in fact this was all stamped without a Stamp-a-majig (except for the sentiment which is from my Teeny Tiny Sentiments wood mount set). Pretty cool huh??!

I hope you like it and will give these stamps a try. :)

Tempting Turquoise #1

What a groovy little sketch the guys at Just Add Ink have this week!

This card is a Color Coach Journey card using Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Tangerine Tango....which is a bit of a weird combo but nice and bright against a backdrop of white. :)

I don't often do 'get well' cards, but I wanted something to go with the cheery 'drawn' flower and the wavy real red DSP. I saw this sentiment in Sassy Salutations and thought it would be cool. :)

The sentiment is heat embossed with Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder.
