Stampin' Up! Australia - The Artful Stampers Sketch Challenge #8

Hi

Welcome from Tamsin Adams' blog! You would think that this would be the easiest sketch in the world right?.....

Wrong!..if you like are me and thought it might be fun to take a different view of it.

This card didn't come out the way I wanted it to....I was trying to get a 1950's speech bubble type of vibe to it.

Not sure it is working....but it is too late to start another card now! :)

I used the sentiments from the Hello December Project Life pack - they are so cute!

Anyway, hope you like my card even though it is a bit weird.... :)

Supplies are available at my online store or by clicking the links below.

The next person on the blog hop is the wonderful Alisa Tilsner and the other participants are here:

Alison Barclay - THAT'S ME!

Remember there is a fantastic joining special this week if you want to join my Monsters Ink team as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. All the details are on my Join Me page.

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - The Artful Stampers - Colour Challenge #7

Hi

Welcome to another fabulous Artful Stampers Blog Hop. You would have hopped here from the wonderfully talented Alisa Tilsner....I bet her card is outstanding!

When I saw the colours this week, I really hoped my mojo would spring forth some sort of non-traditional Christmas Card...but no, I was channelling a fun bright birthday card instead!

I also thought I would play in CAS(E) this Sketch this week since it is their 100th sketch....I am a big fan of CTS and want to convey my congratulations in 100 weeks of inspiration! :)

I used Dotty Angles in a layered 'pointy' kind of way.....I tried to stay as true to the sketch as possible using this stamp.

Here are the blog hop participants this week....please visit and leave a comment along the way. :)

Alison Barclay - ME!

Hope you like my card! The link table to all the supplies is below. :)
Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #74 - The Artful Stampers Sketch Challenge #6

Mossy Meadow #2

#ColorCoachJourney

Hi

Welcome to another Artful Stampers blog hop....you would have hopped here from the awesomely talented Alisa Tilsner (even her initials spell 'awesomely talented'!! See!).

This is also a card inspired by my Color Coach journey....this one is Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy.

My card was pulled together entirely from scrap pieces....even the stamped image was one I did a while ago when stamping with one of my lovely downline. I actually thought this image was current when I made this card, but alas it is retired so....sorry about that. :)

Anyway, hope you like what I did with the sketch....I actually like these colour coach colours together...they are quite rich and bold. :)

Here are the rest of the Blog Hop team....have a look around and please leave some comment love. :)

Alison Barclay - YOU ARE HERE! :)

Your next destination is Annette Sullivan....I can't wait to see what she has done with this sketch. :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - CASE-ing The Catty - Bright & Beautiful Santa & Co Washi Tape - Christmas Card

Hi

At CASE-ing the Catty this week, we are exploring a Colour Challenge inspired by the Santa & Co Washi Tape from the new Holiday Catalogue. The colours are Basic Black, Marina Mist, Real Red and Old Olive

CASE - The acronym stands for COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING. The latest Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue certainly encourages crafters to do just that as it is jam packed with amazing, inspirational projects.

The idea is to feature a section of the Stampin' Up! ® catalogue each week using the projects in the catty as inspiration.

You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations.

Here's a Badge to paste to your blog:

Guidelines

  •   Create a new project for the current challenge (no back linking)
  • Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back to the challenge blog so others can join in on the fun.
    • Let us know what project you CASED and make reference to the page of your country's catalogue where you got your inspiration.
    • Only Stampin' Up! products (retired or current) may be used in your projects for CTC Challenges.
    So let's go!

I was quite literal with my interpretation of the challenge and used the Santa & Co Washi Tape to full effect on my card.

I stamped my greeting from Bright & Beautiful onto Whisper White and die cut with an Oval Framelit. The base whisper white layer was de-bossed with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I decided that it needed some bling and the sequins from the new Hello December Project Life Accessories Kit fit the colours perfectly!! They are so sparkly and gorgeous.

I recently got the Envelope Liners Framelits Dies so I took my envelope that extra step and put some Marina Mist DSP in to line it.

Hope you like my card! All the supplies are below....this would be super easy to recreate as bulk Christmas Card project. :)

Come and play with us at CTC this fortnight!!

    Cheers
    Alison xx
