Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Lego Card

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

When I saw our colour challenge for this week, the first thing that jumped to mind was LEGO!!!

Probably because I am surrounded by the stuff. It is everywhere in my house. :)

I stamped the Lego image with Stazon onto Watercolour paper and then coloured using an Aquapainter with Cucumber Crush, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango. The strip of paper is from the Cherry on Top DSP stack.

I also made a bright and fun envelope using my Envelope Punch Board and pulled some Cucumber Crush from the In Color Envelope Paper pack.

I stamped the inside of the card with the lego image in Cucumber Crush and did the same across the bottom of the envelope (not seen).

I used the very CAS sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch for my card.

Here are our beautiful and vibrant Create with Connie and Mary colours....

Card recipe

Stampin' Trimmer, Dimensionals, SNAIL, Envelope Punch Board, Fast Fuse

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #125 - Stampin' Up! Boys Will Be Boys - Kids Cards

Whisper White #1

Hi!

Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop! Welcome from Bronwyn's blog.

This week the Blog Hop challenge is all about CASE-ing a project from the Kids section of the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything.  This whole blog hop is about using the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to help you create.  Sometimes crafters need a springboard to just get started and the catalogues are certainly a demonstrator or customer's best resource.

Here's my card...

I went with Color Coach colours of Whisper White, Marina Mist, and Night of Navy. I used a Blender Pen to colour in the blocks stamp from Boys Will Be Boys

I used some vintage Marina Mist DSP for one of my banners and instead of circle punches, I used a row of Silver Brads

Here's my inspiration:

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #120 - Schoolhouse DSP

Basic Gray #2

Hi

Welcome to another Artful Stampers blog hop! This is a color coach card that uses Basic Gray, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie. I know that the Color Coach has now retired, but I'm going to see out my Color Coach journey as it has been a lot of fun and I figure the combos could still inspire anyone who visits me for color coach ideas. :)

I used some brand new DSP on this card...it's called Schoolhouse and it has great patterns for kids and masculine cards. I particularly liked the numeric font on this paper and thought it went well with a robot for a card for someone who liked maths and robotics. :)

Here is the sketch for this week...my 'flower' is the starburst and robot image...yes, it was a bit bigger than the sketch proportions but I just HAD to use the robot on this card. :)

I was also inspired to make a masculine card by The Paper Players challenge this week.

Edited 14th June 2015 - This little card was Shannon's 'Cut Above' over at The Paper Players. I am so chuffed! :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #114 - Boys Will Be Boys stamp set

Real Red #2

Hi

Welcome to another Artful Stampers blog hop!

The sketch gave me the perfect platform to create a shaker card. I used Color Coach Colors of Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso.

I used some Real Red Designer Series Paper from the Brights Paper stack as my background and I stamped the robot from Boys Will Be Boys in Early Espresso as my main image. I filled my shaker window with gold sequins (I took them off the gold sequin trim ribbon), and some red and clear sequins from a retired Christmas Project Life pack. I also created my own star confetti out of Pumpkin Pie and Real Red with the Confetti Stars Border Punch.

In a previous version of this card, the robot is coloured in, but I actually like the robot line image as an uncoloured image. It just goes to show that our line art stamps can be left empty and still look great!

Here is the sketch for this week:

Stampin' Up! Australia - CAS(E) This Sketch - Stampin' Up! Boys Will Be Boys

Hi

This card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch this week. I had been colouring this set a while ago and had this perfect robot just waiting for a card to hop on to! :)

This set is unfortunately named "Boys Will Be Boys"....and given today is International Women's Day...it is cause to reflect on how language and labelling can engender sexism (despite being quite unintentional). You can read my small rant regarding the name of this set here. I do think this set should have been given a name that encompasses both genders....Kids Playground or Building Blocks or something like that.

Anyway...this card is perfect for a boy OR a girl...and who wouldn't want a robot wishing them Happy Birthday!

It is also quite a tactile card given the embossing on the silver foil - very bumpy and fun to touch and look at.

Here is the CTS sketch:

I hope you like my card. If you have been inspired by it and would like to support my creative business, all the supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store. **note that there are some supply issues with the Blendabilities Markers at present**
