Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #118 - Stacked with Love DSP

Basic Black #1

Hi

I sought inspiration for this card from one of our recent Impressions magazines, which is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator perk every 2 months. It always has great ideas and projects to showcase Stampin' Up! products.

This card uses Color Coach colours of Basic Black, Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate.

The main base of the card is whisper white but I covered it entirely with the ampersand print from Stacked with Love. The sentiment is a thinlit die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die. So cute!

I used the banner punch to create the little flags at the top and then stapled a punched arrow across them.

I hope you like my card. If you have been inspired by it and would like to support my creative business, all the supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store (some links not active until 2nd June).

The 2015 Occasions Catalogue is still current until 2 June so if you would like to go on my mailing list and receive your free copy, just send me an email. :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #35 - Fusion! Chevrons! Thinlits!

Tempting Turquoise #2

Hi

Fusion have an awesome inspiration/sketch combo happening this week. CHEVRONS!

My card is another step along my Color Coach Journey and it uses Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie....in a bit of an unusual way....

One of my fellow Elite Stampers team members shared this video on Facebook the other day....it uses a couple of techniques combined.....stamping with an embossing folder and misting inks prior to stamping.

The video is from Audrie Magno-Gordon....she is so clever!

So....I decided to use chevrons in my main panel.....I sponged Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie onto my chevron embossing folder and then sprayed a mist of water over it. I pressed my watercolour paper onto the embossing folder and just as Audrie said, the colours run together beautifully and you get a gorgeous 'arty' image.

In hindsight, I would have made the turquoise border a lot thinner....I think it competes with the chevron piece too much.

Anyway....I did a couple of others so maybe I will play with those and make some different cards. :)

Hope you like my card!

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Hip Hip Hooray!

Hi

Hip Hip Hooray! I finally played in a Dynamic Duos challenge again!!!

The colours this week are Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.....great for a card for a tween girl!

I visited Mojo Monday this week for a sketch idea and they were doing 'Tall & Skinny' with cool vertical banners.

I used the very funky "Hip Hip Hooray" sentiment from the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit  - the great thing about these kits is that once you have made all the cards, you still have the stamps to continue playing with and they are very on-trend and versatile.

My embellishment areas of the sketch were decorated with stars....the small star punch from the Merry Minis Punch Pack and the Star Framelit from the Circle Card Thinlits Die

I matted my Designer Series Paper to give it a finished look and then just layered my sentiment panel on dimensionals.

There's so much 'trend' going on here - chevrons, banners, stars, subway-art-sentiments! I know it will make a little girl very happy!

I am linking this up to the Seize the Birthday challenge this week...the "toppings" are buttons & rhinestones...or anything blingy...so I hope my glittery stars fit the bill. :)

Hope you like my card!
Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Best of Flowers Watercolour - Color Coach Card #27

Elegant Eggplant Card #2

Hi

This card was inspired by a technique tutorial and card that the incredibly talented Iwona Palamountain (aka Chupa) shared at StampNation.

For my card, my colour palette was taken from my Color Coach for my Color Coach Card Challenge. The colours are Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand.

The tag is actually a Labels Collection Framelit with the sides cropped and a hole made using the Chalk Talk Framelit aperture piece. The flower stamp from Best of Flowers was stamped in Versamark onto Naturals White and embossed in white. The ink was then applied and splattered with an aqua painter.

My 'love' sentiment was cut using the Expressions Thinlit Die from Elegant Eggplant card stock.

I really like the way this turned out. Chupa said that the technique is a lot of fun and produces some interesting and pleasing effects from the splattering and she is absolutely right! :)

If you like this card, then you can buy all the supplies to make it from my online store. Please support my business and have a browse. :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up Thinlits Card Dies

Hello!

They've been called flip cards, flip flop cards, swing cards, and more-but they have always been a bit tricky to create. Not anymore! Stampin' Up!'s amazing new Thinlits Card Dies cut and score to create a card that flips in just one step.

133479 Label Card Thinlits Die $55.95
133480 Circle Card Thinlits Die $55.95

There are some products you just have to see in action before you realise how much you need them, right? This is one of them! Here's a cool video....

These new card dies come with extra die pieces that have versatile designs, so you can use them on other projects, not just flip cards. (The Circle Card Thinlits Die comes with 10 total pieces; the Label Card Thinlits Die comes with nine total pieces.)

With the number of dies you're getting, plus the die that creates the card itself, the price is a great value--especially to create an interactive card!

These card dies would make great announcements, invitations, or Christmas cards.

The main shape in the cards (circle and label) can work with a lot of our stamp images so you can create tons of different kinds of cards using many different stamp sets. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started:

Label Card Thinlits Die (item 133479):
Happy Day Stamp Set (item 130294 W item 130297 C)

Circle Card Thinlits Die (item 133480):
Worth the Wait Stamp (item 131091 W)
Five-Way Flower Stamp (item 131088 W)

Both card dies pair well with:
Oh, Hello Stamp Set (item 131931 W item 130733 C)
Yippee-Skippee! Stamp Set (item 131341 W item 131344 C)
Really Good Greetings Stamp Set (item 130330 W item 130333 C)
Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set (item 130324 W item 130327 C)

These dies also work well with the new magnetic platform (item 130658) so you can place the dies exactly where you want them!
