Stampin' Up! Australia - A Happy Thing - Sale-A-Bration - CASE-ing the Catty #20

Hi

Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty!

Today the challenge is all about CASE-ing from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and to use Blendabilities and Framelits.

CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything.  This whole challenge blog is about using the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to help you create.  Sometimes crafters need a springboard to just get started and the catalogues are certainly a demonstrator or customer's best resource.
So check out the Blendabilities and Framelits in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue and find a project that you would like to try.

There are lots of ideas but here's a few to help you get started -
  • CASE a sketch or layout
  • Try a colour combo
  • CASE an embellishment and use it on your own project

Most importantly, have FUN!

Guidelines -

  • Create a new project for the current challenge.
  • Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back here so others can join in on the fun.  Please ensure that you link up your blog post, not your whole blog.
  • Mostly SUO (Stampin' Up! ® Only) products (retired or current) to be used in your projects for CTC Challenges.
  • Have fun and inspire others!
I was inspired by the image from page 18 of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, and also by the sketch at The Paper Players. Less is More also have the theme of 'Wings' this week so that was a good reason to use the beautiful bird from A Happy Thing.

My bird is actually an Eastern Yellow Robin which is a bird indigenous to Australia along the eastern coast where I live. Isn't he delightful!!?

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #86 - A Happy Thing

Garden Green #1

#ColorCoachJourney

Hi

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop.

This card uses A Happy Thing from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. I made it into a Kumquat instead of a lemon and coloured it with Calypso Coral Blendabilities to fulfil the requirements of the Garden Green Color Coach colours - Garden Green, Calypso Coral and Soft Sky. The leaves were coloured with Garden Green ink using a plain old Blender Pen. They are great for small areas.

The banner behind the image panel is a Calypso Coral Washi Sheet from the Birthday Bash Washi Sheet pack layered onto Whisper White and snipped into a banner. These Washi Sheets behave just like washi tape, but the great thing is that you can cover larger areas with washi detail!

Soft Sky makes an appearance as a scalloped border behind the Garden Green panel and also as a colouring on the Rhinestone Jewels. I coloured these with the darkest Soft Sky Blendabilities marker. You probably can't see the tone in the photo, but they are very pretty.

On the sketch you will see a square panel on the base. I played around with a few things but I didn't want to compromise the Clean and Simple look to my card, so I used the scoring blade on my Stampin' Trimmer and made a few feature lines to create this 'layer'. It looks great in real life and acts as an anchor for my sentiment image.

I hope you like my card. If you have been inspired by it and would like to support my creative business, all the supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store.
