Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #20 - CAS(E) This Sketch Christmas Card

Rose Red Card #1

Dear Stampin' friends,

Here's a Color Coach journey card for you. This one is for the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge this week. The colours are Rose Red, Wisteria Wonder & Garden Green. It took AAAAAGES to make this card work. I fiddled with card stock, scalloped border, twine, sponging....you name it. In the end, I stripped it right back to the basics.....whisper white card stock, score lines and some one layer stamping. Easy and clean.

Here's the sketch.....

Hope you like it. The snowflakes are from a retired set, but Festive Flurry in the current Holiday catalogue would be a great one to get a similar result! :)

If you are inspired by this card, then please help my home business by purchasing your stamping & craft supplies from my online store. :)

Cheers
Alison xx

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Happy Day - Dynamic Duos #64

Dear Stampin' friends,

I was so excited to make this card....I really wanted to do a simple one layer card with this stamp from 'Happy Day' and I knew when we had this colour challenge at Dynamic Duos that it would be perfect for my card! :)

Here you go....

Now...you definitely need a Stamp-a-majig for this card.....the 'frame' is actually one stamp image stamped 4 times in a rectangle. Do you like it? I like the simplicity of this against the colours that are really bold and dramatic. :)

Be sure to visit the Dynamic Duos Design Team for colour inspiration.....

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #10 - Hello Lovely

Bermuda Bay Card #1
Dear Stampin' friends

Today we welcome Bermuda Bay to the Stampin' Up! family!! On my self-imposed Color Coach Challenge journey, I find myself using Bermuda Bay with another couple of bright bold colours....Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry.

I wanted to use some of the stamps from the new Hello Lovely stamp set....and I threw a few others in as well for a bold one-layer statement.

There's also a sneak peek from our upcoming Holiday Catalogue.....the 'XOXO' is from an exciting new product that I can't tell you about just yet....but it is going to be FUN!

This is a really easy & fun card to make....it would be great for a teenage/tween-age girl I reckon...

Don't forget you may order any of these supplies at my online store.Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Mosaic Madness

Dear Stampin' friends,

I confess that this next colour combo from Dynamic Duos had me scratching my head for a while. I really wanted to use Mosaic Madness, one of the new stamp sets, but everything that I put down on paper seemed to look too busy, and I could never get Summer Starfruit to balance properly.

Anyway....I decided to stamp the actual Summer Starfruit inkpad down in the middle of my cardstock and build my card around that. There is a stamp in Mosaic Madness that is just a lovely thin outline which I haven't seen too much on the blogs & the Pinterestsphere so I thought I would make it the feature of the card. My card started to take on a little bit of a 'Japanese vintage print' look which I was quite pleased with. :)

Then....at the very end...I smudged my vertical stamped image over to the left.....ack!.....but Gorgeous Grunge came to my rescue and I stamped all over that sucker like that was my intention all along y'all!!!

After I finished I realised that I'd done a bit of the 'balance of threes' and 3, 2, 1. The magic '3' is sometimes why cards 'work'. I think this one does even if I do say so myself. :)

I thought it needed a bit more grunging but not too much "dirty", so I used my Gold Smooch spritz which added to the Japanese screen print look. I left off a sentiment as I think this card could be for any number of occasions.

I LOVE IT! :)
