Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Christmas Card

Hi!

Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop! Welcome from Monique's lovely blog.

This week the Blog Hop challenge is all about CASE-ing a project inspired by the Home for Christmas pages in the new Stampin' Up! Holiday catalogue.

CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything.  This whole blog hop is about using the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to help you create.  Sometimes crafters need a springboard to just get started and the catalogues are certainly a demonstrator or customer's best resource.

The Home for Christmas DSP is so wonderfully retro and festive. I used the stripey paper just like the original design. I stamped Real Red tone-on-ton with the bells stamp from Cozy Christmas to make my background. I sponged around the edge which helps warm and soften the overall effect.

No, that isn't a new label Framelit...I used a Deco Labels Framelit but just trimmed the top and bottom off to make a new shape.

Here's my inspiration.....

  1. This is a lovely card!! I had to look twice to work out which framelit it was. I love the bells on the background piece, it's a great stamp set.

  6. Great CASE, Alison. Super idea to create a new shape from the Deco Framelits - I didn't recognise them at first!

  7. Gorgeous take on the original, Alison. The depth you have added with the sponging & the extra layer looks awesome. Love the snipped framelit & the sprinkling of pearls too. :)
