Garden Green #2
Hi
Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!
This week's challenge is a sketch challenge so I am using some Color Coach colours - Garden Green, Melon Mambo and So Saffron.
Now, those that know me well know that I LOVE the Bokeh technique....my first card with this technique was this one back in August 2014 and I have created dozens more since then....it is a highly addictive technique!
Here's our sketch:
...so I flipped it and the dots and background patterns became my 'bokeh' details.
I hope you like my card! The recipe is below.
Stamp - Butterfly Basics
Ink - Garden Green, So Saffron, Melon Mambo, Whisper White Craft Ink
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Watercolour paper, Melon Mambo, Garden Green, Vellum
Tools - Big Shot, Butterfly Framelit Dies, Melon Mambo Blendabilities (discontinued since I made this card), Stampin' Dimensionals, Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
Accessories - Pearls
Cheers

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful girly kind of card! I never would have thought to combine these colors - color coach or not. Love the Bokeh technique and it is a perfect combination with butterflies!

ReplyDeleteAlison, you are after my heart with that color combo! LOVE it! I haven't tried the bokeh technique yet but I clearly see that I need to do it, so very pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the ethereal background you created for your butterfly with the bokeh technique and I'm surprised at just how well the Garden Green works on this card - it gives your layered butterfly a real pop.
