Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Ride - Volkswagen Beetle stamp

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's this week is a beautiful image of a marshmallow heart floating in a gorgeous mug of hot chocolate!

I was inspired by the heart theme as well as the warm-ness of the chocolate so I thought I would combine the red and kraft colours. I couldn’t wait to colour in my new ‘Beautiful Ride’ Volkswagen Beetle stamp! It is in the new Occasions catalogue - squeeeee!

It also happens to be my husband’s parents’ 47th wedding anniversary and I thought this would make a cute card.

I coloured my ‘bug’ with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities...remember them!? I chose Shimmer White card stock so the bug is cool and shimmery.

The patterned paper is a retired paper stack called “Stacked with Love”....so cute for Anniversary and Valentine cards.

Here's the inspiration image.....

Card recipe
Stamps - Beautiful Ride, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities, Smoky Slate Blendabilities

Stampin' Up Australia - Color Coach Card #127 - Stampin' Up! Blended Bloom

Very Vanilla #1

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

The Color Coach pairs Perfect Plum and Rose Red with the base colour of Very Vanilla....I found the only way I could make this combination work was to use watercolouring and some layering with gold. Rose Red and Perfect Plum are quite strong colours so you will notice that I used muted tones of both on my card.

I stamped Blended Bloom in Perfect Plum rather than Black Stazon to give a softness to the flower image. As I watercoloured with Rose Red, the Perfect Plum ink also moved around a little bit which blended quite beautifully. I used Perfect Plum for the stamen and centre details of the flower.

I used some vintage Perfect Plum DSP for the banner and used Gold Bakers Twine, Metallic Gold Twine and Gold Sequin Trim to add some luxe elements. The sentiment is from the Expressions Natural Elements pack. I LOVE these SO much! I'm buying two packs next order. :)

I finished the card (and to adhere to the sketch) with a punched piece of vellum using the Itty Bitty Butterfly punch. Every butterfly needs pearls. :)

Here's our sketch....

Card recipe

Stamp - Blended Bloom
Ink - Perfect Plum, Rose Red
Cardstock- Very Vanilla, Watercolor Paper, Perfect Plum DSP (vintage), Vellum

Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue,
Paper Snips, Aquapainter, Dimensionals

Gold Sequin Trim, Gold Bakers Twine

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach #76 - Stampin' Up! Lotus Blossom and Painted Petals

Blackberry Bliss #1

#ColorCoachJourney

Hi

The colours on my card today are the Color Coach suggestion of Blackberry Bliss, Soft Sky and Old Olive.

Since Blackberry Bliss and Soft Sky are two of the colours featured in the brand new Painted Petals Designer Series Paper, I thought I would use those as the basis of my card. Now, the Painted Petals DSP that has the Blackberry Bliss flowers...the one that I used for my banner....has little specks of Daffodil Delight on it so, to make it Color-Coach-compliant, I went over the specks with the lightest marker from the Old Olive Blendabilities pack. Easy!

The Soft Sky DSP from the pack is really lovely and has a watercoloured wash over it - you can see how the bottom corner of the card is a bit of a darker shade of Soft Sky. Very pretty paper!

I've also used 2 items from the new Artisan Embellishment Kit....the Blackberry Bliss velvet ribbon and the small doilies - I put two together and they fit perfectly around the oval framelit die cut.

The gorgeous embellishment here is a brand new piece of bling from Something Borrowed Embellishments. They are SO beautiful. I layered it onto a punched piece of Blackberry Bliss to highlight it. Glue dots hold it perfectly in place.

My stamped image is the new Lotus Blossom stamp from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. This stamp is FREE with any $90 order. It is a 3-step stamping product, so there are three layers to the flower.....all are stamped with Blackberry Bliss. The stem is Old Olive.

I went one step further as a final touch and lined my envelope with some more of the Painted Petals DSP. The Envelope Liner Framelit Dies are perfect for this.

This card is an Anniversary card for my parents-in-law...I tried to make the 'Happy Anniversary" sentiment work on the card, but it just didn't want to fit anywhere, so I left it without the sentiment and I personally think it looks better. :)

In keeping with the Anniversary theme, this is the sketch from the One Year Anniversary Celebration from Fusion, yet another reason that I wanted to put a sentiment on the card as a shout-out, but alas, it didn't come together for me.

I love this blog challenge and really should play there more often.....I will commit to more Fusion in 2015!! :)

I hope you like my card. If you have been inspired by it and would like to support my creative business, all the supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store.

Stampin' Up! Australia - Rich Razzleberry Happy Day!

Hi

Just a quick blog post to share this card with you. I have managed to squeeze it in just in time for the Dynamic Duos challenge this week.

It is inspired by an ombre card that Catherine shared on StampNation this week. I don't have the stencils that she used, but I thought I would play with some Stampin' Sponges over a Mosaic embossed layer and get a similar effect.

I splattered Gold Smooch Spritz over the top of my Rich Razzleberry sponging....it looks VERY GOOD in real life. :)

Hope you like my card! :)

Remember that you can place an order with me any time at my online store!

If you would like a free catalogue mailed direct to you (Australian residents only), then just drop me an email with your details and I'll get one to you! :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Spiral Flower Die - Golden Wedding Card

Hi

This card was inspired by the Mojo Monday's Sketch this week. As soon as I saw those 3 circles, I just knew that I would have to break out my new Spiral Flower Originals Die and make 3 roses.

Gold is very 'on trend' at the moment, so I thought I would use 4 gold elements on my card:

1.  Brushed Gold card stock for my flowers.
2.  Gold Foil for my leaves.
3.  Encore gold ink clear embossed for my chevron background.
4.  Gold embossing powder for my 'Congratulations' sentiment.

If you like the look of those flowers, then watch this tutorial - it's all about using the Spiral Flower Originals Die....super easy and SO effective. :)

If you like this card and would like to order the supplies, they are listed below...or simply just email me and I'd be happy to put together an order for you. :)

Cheers
Alison xx
