Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Sweetheart Punch

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

I couldn't make my card work in landscape so I switched to portrait and flipped the greeting to the other side.

I used the Sweetheart Punch to fulfil the circle elements from the sketch. I added a greeting from the Tin of Cards stamp set and stamped a cute little red heart above it. Some sequins finished it off.

TIP #1 -  use up your old DSP by making Envelope Liners with the Envelope Liner Framelit Dies. This is from a retired Valentine paper stack. The Real Red matches the red circle and the red heart on my card. :)

TIP #2 - use the Fine Tip Glue Pen from the Holiday Catalogue to glue down your sequins. ZERO mess! :)

I was also inspired by the theme at CASOLOGY this week....

Card recipe

Stamp - Tin of Cards
Ink - Night of Navy, Real Red
Cardstock - Whisper White, Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette, Real Red
Tools - Big Shot, Envelope Liner Framelit Dies, Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL,
Fine Tip Glue Pen (for the sequins) , Sweetheart Punch,
Small Heart Punch (retired) but use the Heart from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack instead.
Accessories - Metallics Sequins Assortment

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Embellished Ornaments Christmas Card

Hi!

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop and welcome from Tamsin's blog.

I wanted to make a fairly monochromatic Christmas Card with this week's challenge colours and used a page from the Merry Moments Designer Series paper pack (Annual Catalogue) as my base.

You may see that I have added a very subtle amount of Lost Lagoon by way of the marker pen and adding little dots to the ornament.

Here are our colours for this week...
I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches....

Stamp - Embellished Ornaments
Ink - Pear Pizzazz, Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon Stampin' Write Marker

Stampin' Up! Australia - Happy Hallowe'en

Hi!

Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop! Welcome from Tricia's blog.

This week the Blog Hop challenge is all about CASE-ing a project inspired by the Halloween samples from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalogue.

CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything.  This whole blog hop is about using the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to help you create.  Sometimes crafters need a springboard to just get started and the catalogues are certainly a demonstrator or customer's best resource.

A lot of Australians don't do Halloween and many protest that it is an American holiday and we shouldn't celebrate it....

Well....I LOVE Halloween...being a student of the dark arts and all.....it's an excuse for me to get out my retired goth clothes and play some Siouxsie and the Banshees while the kids from the neighbourhood come trick or treating.

Yes, you heard me....the families in our little Australian neck of the woods go trick or treating. In fact, our street is renowned for the Halloween spirit....families drive from elsewhere to our suburb to visit. Last year we had about 150 kids visit our door. My son's were SO excited. I decorated our front door (my American friends would call this the porch) with a Halloween wreath, pumpkins, spooky faces and I hid fake glowing eyes in the garden. It looked SO COOL!

Anyway....on to the project...

I used a jar from Kmart and filled it with large Jaffas. My label is from a retired set called Toxic Treats. I used the label from the image below as my inspiration and I flipped the landscape design to portrait.

Here's my inspiration image:

Stamp - Toxic Treats (vintage)
Ink - Versamark
Cardstock - Basic Black, Basic Black DSP (retired), Pumpkin Pie
Tools  - Big Shot, Labels Framelit Dies (vintage), Triple Banner Punch, Dimensionals
Accessories - Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Silver ribbon

I hope you like my project!

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Blended Bloom

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's this week is a beautiful elegant bouquet of flowers on a thanksgiving/fall table setting.

Since we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Australia, I took my design cues from the cluster of flowers and the colour palette.

I masked off my centre panel and stamped the Blended Blooms stamp in Blushing Bride, Blackberry Bliss and Early Espresso. I then sponged Blushing Bride around the edges and painted over the panel with Wink of Stella Clear which caused the colours to wash and bleed a bit which gave a beautiful marbled effect.

Here is the image:

Card recipe
Stamps - Blended Bloom
Ink - Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock - Very Vanilla
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponges
Post-it notes, Wink of Stella (clear)

I hope you like my card.

The 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue (download AND the Holiday catalogue (download are out NOW so if you would like to know how to get your free copy, just send me an email. :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Happy Birthday Everyone - English Garden DSP

Hi!
Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop and welcome from Tamsin's blog!

When I sat down to create this card, I had NO idea what I was going to do. So I reached for the first pack of Designer Series Paper and decided to commit to the first one that was on the top of the pile.  It happened to be English Garden and then this set the tone for my card. I used the coordinating colours of the DSP....Old Olive for the base mat, Mossy Meadow for the banner, Blushing Bride for the flower and border strip and Melon Mambo for the greeting.

Here is our sketch for this week....

TIP! The miniature leaves for my flower were punched from Old Olive card stock using the Tree Builder punch....the little teardrop shape! Perfect for little leaves. :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Mint Macaron Christmas Wreath.

Hi!

Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop! Welcome from Rebecca's blog.

This week the Blog Hop challenge is all about CASE-ing a project inspired by the Project Life samples from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalogue.

CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything.  This whole blog hop is about using the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to help you create.  Sometimes crafters need a springboard to just get started and the catalogues are certainly a demonstrator or customer's best resource.

I don't have any Project Life supplies so I thought I would CASE one of the Project Life pieces in the catalogue by using a current Christmas stamp set in the same colours.

I stamped Wondrous Wreath in Mint Macaron and the ribbon and bow in Real Red. I threw in a Wooden Embellishment as the greeting.

Very clean and simple, but I like it! :)

Here's my inspiration image:

I also did another card with some retired Project Life accessories. Do you like it?
