Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop! Welcome from Elizabeth's blog!
This week the Blog Hop challenge is all about CASE-ing a project from the Artistic Expression section (pages 111 - 134 ) of the 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! Catalogue.
CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything. This whole blog hop is about using the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to help you create. Sometimes crafters need a springboard to just get started and the catalogues are certainly a demonstrator or customer's best resource.
I really found it hard to choose a project to CASE. This section of the catalogue is bursting with beautiful inspiration.
I managed to narrow it down to this card that uses the Farmers Market DSP.

I used a Blackberry Bliss base and stamped it with the Hardwood stamp with Blackberry Bliss ink...you probably can't see it very well in the photo but it is there. I wanted to echo the hardwood background (which is DSP) from the original card.
I layered a metallic foil doily, some burlap ribbon and some Crumb Cake satin ribbon under my greeting. If the greeting looks a bit familiar, it's because it is a scrap practice piece from this card. :)
I finished it off with a gold button (vintage SU) and tied some of the trimmed burlap though that.
Here's my inspiration....
I hope you like my card. If you have been inspired by it and would like to support my creative business, all the supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store.

Pretty pretty pretty. I love this DSP, and I love the coordinating stamp set too, but I don't have either!!! I'm so glad somebody CASED this card!!
ReplyDeleteAlison, this is a beautiful card that packs a real fresh punch. I have not looked at this DSP before & it is really quite stunning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great rendition of the card in the catalogue Allison although I think I'm in love with yours much more. Everything about it makes me go 'WOW'. Super fun and pretty.
ReplyDeleteTotally better than the original Alison! Love the contrast of the gold with burlap too. Amazing. Love it!
