Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Dotty Angles

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

I had a beautiful sketch all planned out from the other night....all my best ideas come to me at 11pm just as I'm getting ready for bed.  I had written it down on a post it note and sat down this evening to make the blueprint come to life.....

....that is until I discovered that my 4 year old son had removed the handle of my Big Shot and hidden it in a location that he had since forgotten.

So the following card was made as my anger slowly bubbled and consumed me. >:{

It was clean and simple out of sheer necessity!

 Here are our colours for this week....

Card recipe

Stamp - Dotty Angles, Happy Birthday Everyone
Ink - Watermelon Wonder, Pool Party, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Cardstock - Whisper White Thick cardstock, Whisper White CS
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin' Dimensionals

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

  1. What a wonderful clean and simple card! I think it worked out pretty well considering your circumstances! LOL! Maybe just call this one a happy accident! It's beautiful anyway!

  2. Uh-oh! Has the handle turned up yet? You have made a fabulous clean and simple card despite the loss! Great job!

  3. I can't imagine that the other card could have been any better than this one! It is beautiful! I am impressed that your four year old could get the handle off the Big Shot! Future engineer perhaps?

  5. I'm like Lisa, this card is so pretty that I wouldn't have guessed this wasn't your primary design! The colors of those cascading dots is so lovely! Super clean and classy card! I hope you find your handle soon... it generally would be hard for me to stamp and create without my Big Shot so I really feel for you!!

  6. Love this clean and simple look...great for any occasion and gender. Great job with the challenge!

  7. Ok, I'm sorry but I have to admit I had a good laugh at this! I just know how you feel and have experienced similar shenanigans! But there is a reason for everything and your card turned out marvelous! I love how simple and clean it is and the white makes your beautiful dots pop! :)

  8. Oh dear Alison - I too had a good giggle when I read your post this week, kids, don't you just love 'em?! I hope you find that Big Shot handle soon; meanwhile what a fabulous CAS card, so elegant. Maybe it was meant to be? :-)
