Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #129 - No Bones About It

Sahara Sand #2

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop and welcome from Annette's blog.

We have a sketch challenge this week so it's another opportunity for me to use some Color Coach colours. This combo is Sahara Sand, Cajun Craze and Pacific Point.  I thought these would look great on a dinosaur card for my nephew.

Here's my card...

I found a scrap piece of Irresistibly Yours DSP that had already been sponged with Pacific Point, so I trimmed it with the new Triple Banner punch to give the banner shape. I added some Naturals Chevron ribbon under it just for texture and then stamped all my dinosaurs above it on some Whisper White card stock.

I had some retired Neutrals DSP so I made a matching envelope with the Sahara Sand page (and the AWESOME Envelope Punch Board!!) and used a strip down the edge of my card too.

Here's our sketch....

  1. Love the colour combo. I going to right that one down for future use. On another note love your attention to detail.

  2. lovely card, i love the hat. cute...

  3. The Cajun Craze dinosaur bones look like they have just been dug up. Great colour scheme and use of the party hat.

  4. Hi, I'm answering your question on my blog here as I'm doing a class on the card so didn't want to give the instructions yet on my blog, emboss your crumb cake card, then use gorgeous grunge stamp and versa Mark, gold emboss, then add sponged ink, hope this helps

    1. Thank you SO much Peg for sharing your technique with me. I really do appreciate it. Your card is so very beautiful! xxx

  5. fabulous card - the colours, the stamp placements - you really have the artist's 'eye' for balance & beauty!

  6. I love these dinosaurs and your card is awesome! I really have no use for dinosaur stamps, but am still tempted to get them just for ME. :-)
