Welcome to this week's CASE-ing the Catty Blog Hop! Welcome from Stasia's blog.
This week the Blog Hop challenge is all about CASE-ing from the Mother's Day pages of the Occasions catalogue.
CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything. This whole blog hop is about using the current Stampin' Up! Catalogues to help you create. Sometimes crafters need a springboard to just get started and the catalogues are certainly a demonstrator or customer's best resource.
As this blog post goes live, I will be on the Gold Coast at the 2015 Stampin' Up! Convention. I made this little gift box with some goodies in it for my downline who will be attending her first so I thought it would be a lovely little treat for her.
Here's the original inspiration:
Here's the original inspiration:
I used a Tag A Bag Gift Box and I stamped some Kraft card stock in the petals stamp from Painted Petals and then heat embossed the whole piece in gold. I scored it so that it fit over the box as a lid and then I put the plastic case over the top. The topper piece is a tea lace doily, some gold vellum (the one with the hearts) and a banner gold embossed with the pansy stamp from Flower Shop. The sentiment tag is Chalk Talk stamped in Metallic Gold Encore and then clear embossed to seal it and give it shine. I tied it up with some Wild Wasabi Cotton Twine and Seam Binding ribbon. A metallic clothespin keeps it all together. :)
