Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Best of Babies - Farewell Dynamic Duos!

Today I am submitting a card for a couple of challenges....the Deconstructed Sketch, who have a very cool square card sketch this week, and Dynamic Duos, who have announced their farewell.

So sad to see them go, but I reflected on all the 47 cards that I have made for Dynamic Duos, both as a participant and a Design Team member, and I am happy to say that it has brought out the best in my card making and challenged me to design with some cool colour combos.  Thank you Lesley & Anne Marie for your inspiration and professionalism. xxx

.....in saying that....I have only just realised that I have the colours for this challenge ALL WRONG!! Eeeeeeek!
When I looked at the colours on my iPad, I could have sworn that it said So Saffron, Pistachio Pudding and Smoky Slate...when in fact it should be Pool Party. **sob**

Anyway...I'm submitting my card....I know that it will be excluded from consideration....but since it is the last challenge and I REALLY wanted to participate, the card is going in! I hope the DT understand. :)

I have been itching to break out my Best of Babies stamp set....it is completely adorable....I water coloured the bears in Crumb Cake for the fur and Smoky Slate for their foot pads, the toys were a combo of So Saffron and Pistachio Pudding.

This isn't my usual style of card...there is a lot of layers and not much white space...but sometimes I think that baby cards need a bit of warmth and 'cosy-ness' on them. :)

So I hope my boo-boo is forgiven.....

Farewell Dynamic Duos....it's been dynamic and fabulous! :)

  1. What an adorable baby card...and a great job on both challenges. (and I really do like this card in the colors you used)

  2. I think you are definitely forgiven the slight slip in pastel greens, Alison! I've done that more than once, partly b/c I'm not an SU demonstrator. Those names! But I digress! This sweet welcome-baby card is adorable, and the perfect vehicle for this week's trio of soft colours. You did a great job with the bears! Thanks for playing along with DD's final hurrah!

  3. Alison, I am so glad you joined us this week for the final challenge! I am so glad to have worked with you while you were on the DT and happy that we can stay in touch. One day, I would love to meet you in person in Australia. :) Pistachio Pudding or Pool Party...heck, they are close enough...I'm just glad you joined us! Thank you! Sending a big hug your way, friend! :)
