Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Christmas Card

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's challenge this week is an elegant vintage centrepiece in vanilla & black tones. It is also the 2nd year anniversary for The Card Concept Challenge...big congratulations to Lesley & the team! :)

Here are the essentials:

  • I was inspired by the print music in the image so I used a sheet from a retired Christmas paper - it’s the sheet music for Silent Night. :)
  • The colours of the image set the palette for my card - vanilla & black.
  • I used Black Satin ribbon just like the one in the image.
  • I took inspiration from CASE This Sketch for the layout and Merry Monday for the theme of my card.

Here’s the inspiration image.....

I hope you like my card! :)

Cheers

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up Beautiful Ride

Hi!

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers Blog Hop and welcome from Annette’s blog.

Here are the essentials:

  • I watercoloured the bug image on watercolour paper...Marina Mist for the windows, Perfect Plum for the running board, Rose Red for the main body and Smoky Slate for the wheels, tyres, door handle and side mirror. I also went over the wheel spokes, mirror and handle with a Smoky Slate marker for definition.
  • Using up scraps! I found some retired Smoky Slate DSP, a starburst-shaped Perfect Plum die cut, some Rose Red seam binding and a piece of Naturals Chevron ribbon so I set about  making these work with the bug.
  • Anatomy of bling! So....the bling here consists of the Botanical Garden flower jewel in the top left corner, rhinestone jewels in the middle of the wheels, and 3 sets of twin rhinestones dotted around the card.
  • Teeny tiny details....the “Beautiful Ride” stamp set has the most adorable miniature flower so I put that in the corner of the back door hinge and echoed it on the sentiment banner. CUTE!
  • The layout was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches this week.
  • As I am looking at this photo, I’m thinking that some Wink of Stella would look fabulous on the car so I’m off to add that now! :)
Here are our colours for this week:

Here’s the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches (I took some artistic licence with the sentiment placement - I couldn’t make it work up there!)

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect + English Garden DSP

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

Here are the essentials:

  • Soft Suede & Mossy Meadow are in the English Garden DSP pack so since they are 2 out of the 3 colours this week, why not use them!?
  • I layered the leaves for a soft effect against the flower from the Picture Perfect stamp set.
  • The Watermelon Wonder ribbon is slightly sheer, so to colour block, I added some Watermelon Wonder card stock underneath it. Looks perfect!

Here are our colours for this week:

Here is the sketch from Mojo Monday:

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Christmas Card

Hi!

The inspiration image at The Card Concept's challenge this week is a beautiful basket of pink Easter eggs.

Here are the essentials:

  • I don't really sent Easter cards so I took my cue from the holiday idea and created a Christmas card.
  • The pinks on the eggs reminded me of a retired colour from Stampin' Up called Regal Rose...so pretty on shimmer white paper!
  • A giant rhinestone is the perfect finishing touch to the ornament.

Here’s the inspiration image.....

I hope you like my card! :)

Card recipe
Stamps - Cozy Christmas, Ornament Keepsakes
Ink - Regal Rose
Cardstock - Regal Rose, Shimmer White, Kraft
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot, Holiday Ornaments Framelit Dies.

The brand NEW Occasions catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration catalogues are out now. If you would like your own copy (Australian readers only), just send me an email. :)

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Botanical Gardens + Happy Birthday Everyone

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

Here are the essentials:

  • I wanted to use a bold pattern as my background and have all the other elements as miniature pieces. Botanical Gardens DSP has some amazing patterns and I chose the leafy one for this card.
  • The angled greeting took on a life of its own and became a tag. I used the Gold Glitter Tape and made a faux-ribbon.
  • Use your scraps! I had a doily-cut off, a vellum scrap piece and a gold glimmer butterfly that I had punched but not used sitting in my embellishments case. I threw them on this card and it worked in an eclectic kinda way.

Here is our sketch for this week:

Card recipe

Stamp - Happy Birthday Everyone
Ink - Mossy Meadow
Cardstock - Whisper White cardstock, Botanical Gardens DSP, Botanical Gardens Vellum, Gold Glimmer Paper
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL, Itty Butterfly Punch, Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Paper Snips
Accessories - Metallic Sequins, Gold Glitter Tape, Doily

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)

Stampin’ Up! Australia - Stampin’ Up! Botanicals For You

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

Here are the essentials:

  • I looked to the Botanical Gardens DSP paper pack for inspiration since all three colours are in that suite. I saw that the Hello Honey & Cajun Craze papers were quite gender neutral so this set the tone for my card.
  • Snip! Snip! Cut up your sentiments to fit your card....I stamped the sentiment but realised that it wasn't going to fit across my card when I needed it, so I cut it up and it worked perfectly! :)
  • Use up your candy dots! Rule of 3....pick a corner. Always looks good. :)

Here are our colours for this week:

Here is the sketch from The Paper Players:

Card recipe

Stamp - Botanicals for You
Ink - Archival Black ink
Cardstock - Whisper White cardstock, Botanical Gardens DSP, Basic Black cardstock
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL, 1 3/4 circle punch, Multipurpose liquid glue, paper snips
Accessories - Satin Ribbon Basic Black, Candy Dots - Neutrals

I hope you will join in and create a card with us.....and please feel free to leave me and the other CCMC participants some comments! :)
