Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Sprinkles of Life - Color Coach Card #121

Cherry Cobbler #2

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

I used the new Sprinkles of Life stamp set on my card and used Color Coach colours of Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight. I thought that it would create quite an autumnal colour combination and the Cherry Cobbler piece from the new Designer Series Paper, Farmers Market, gave a lovely background.

I know that Thanksgiving is a long way away, but wouldn't this make a lovely Thanksgiving card? We don't have Thanksgiving in Australia but I have some American friends that do celebrate it.

I loved making the leaves of the tree with the Sprinkles of Life set. I stamped in Daffodil Delight first and then rock n rolled the edges in Cherry Cobbler. The two ink colours mixed together to give a gorgeous burnt orange. I did this three times and then layered the images to give a fuller looking tree. The Tree Builder Punch (also new) is the perfect compliment to this set.

I used some of the other stamps in the set to decorate the base of the tree....plus how cute is that little bird!?...and that shape is in the punch too! I stamped the bird in Cherry Cobbler and then used a Blender Pen to pull the colours in a bit.

I used Early Espresso embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder for my sketch panels. They echo the tree and the earthy texture of my card.

The little button is also new...from the Classy Designer Buttons pack. The sentiment is also from Sprinkles of Life and is stamped and die cut with the banner die from the Circles Thinlit Card Die

....oh and I also stamped across the bottom of the envelope.....I thought that looked really cute! :)

So there's a bit more going on with this card than what I usually do....but once I started with Sprinkles of Life, I really couldn't stop!! :)

Here is our sketch for this week's challenge:
