Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Lego Card

Hi

Welcome to this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.

When I saw our colour challenge for this week, the first thing that jumped to mind was LEGO!!!

Probably because I am surrounded by the stuff. It is everywhere in my house. :)

I stamped the Lego image with Stazon onto Watercolour paper and then coloured using an Aquapainter with Cucumber Crush, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango. The strip of paper is from the Cherry on Top DSP stack.

I also made a bright and fun envelope using my Envelope Punch Board and pulled some Cucumber Crush from the In Color Envelope Paper pack.

I stamped the inside of the card with the lego image in Cucumber Crush and did the same across the bottom of the envelope (not seen).

I used the very CAS sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch for my card.

Here are our beautiful and vibrant Create with Connie and Mary colours....

  3. From one Lego-filled house to another - what a great card! My son is Lego-mad and since it's school holidays still here in the UK my living room floor is permanently covered in it - you have my sympathies! This week's colours are just perfect for some bright Lego blocks and I love the way you used the layout too.

  5. Great combination of two challenges! Love how simple this card is! I also love how you watercolored the legos to make these bright colors a little softer.

  7. Oh my, I love the Legos on your card! When our son was small we used to have them everywhere as well; I think I liked them as much as he did! lol! You used a minimum number of items for a maximum impact! Great card!
