Stampin' Up! Australia - Color Coach Card #75 - Stampin' Up! Big Day

Mossy Meadow #3

#ColorCoachJourney

Hi

Welcome to this week's Artful Stampers blog hop....you would have hopped here from Lynn Powell's blog.

Here's another card inspired by my Color Coach journey....this one is Mossy Meadow, Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral. Colours that you wouldn't think would work, but they make a bold, fun, and modern splash against Whisper White.

This week's challenge was a sketch and here's my card below. This was made using just one stamp...."Big Day" from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. It is fabulous! You will LOVE it!

It actually looks brighter and more colourful in real life...the camera washed out the colours a little bit.

Here's the sketch that we worked from:

I did tone-on-tone stamping on the background layers using some of the stamp sets in the Big Day set and then I sponged the edges. The main panel was stamped with Memento ink and then the 'celebrate' banner and 'CAKE' were coloured with Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay (sneak peek!) Blendabilities and 'BIRTHDAY' was coloured with a blender pen dipped in Mossy Meadow.

I'm also linking this card up to the Seize the Birthday challenge....which has an optional theme word of "Party" this week or an 'Anything Goes' theme.

I hope you like my card. All supplies may be found by clicking through the links below which will take you to my store.

The 2015 Occasions catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration catalogue will be out tomorrow so if you would like to go on my mailing list and receive your free copy, just send me an email. :)

Your next stop on the blog hop is Annette Sullivan. :)

Cheers

  2. I love the tone on tone stamping on the background layers and the colouring on the main image is beautiful. The Bermuda Bay Sequin trim adds a pretty sparkle.
