Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Age Awareness - CASE-ing The Catty

Hi

At CASE-ing the Catty this week, we are exploring the Home Decor chapter of the catalogue.

CASE - The acronym stands for COPY AND SHARE EVERYTHING. The latest Stampin' Up! ® Catalogue certainly encourages crafters to do just that as it is jam packed with amazing, inspirational projects.

The idea is to feature a section of the Stampin' Up! ® catalogue each week using the projects in the catty as inspiration.

You can directly CASE (Copy and Share Everything) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for your own creations.

Guidelines

  •   Create a new project for the current challenge (no back linking)
  • Mention CTC Challenges in your blog post and link back to the challenge blog so others can join in on the fun.
    • Let us know what project you CASED and make reference to the page of your country's catalogue where you got your inspiration.
    • SUO products (retired or current) may be used in your projects for CTC Challenges.

    So let's go!

I flipped through the home decor section of the catalogue and, like you most probably, oooh'd and aaaah'd at all the gorgeousness in it. One particular image caught my eye though....the doormat with HELLO on it.....I love it!

So I made a card using my Dots and Stripes Decorative Masks and the die cut from the Circle Card Thinlits Die. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Age Awareness - a new photopolymer stamp set! LOVE THIS!

In order to make the die cut 'pop', I cut two layers from Real Red card stock and two layers from Basic Black. I stuck the two Basic Black layers ontop of one another, then stacked the Real Red layers on top of that. It feels like a piece of chipboard and it really pops off the page. So fun!

I first saw this 'faux chipboard' technique on a card by Maureen Merritt...she really is the Queen of Clean & Simple style.

Hope you like my card.....if you would like to buy these products, just hop over to my online store to place an order. :)

    Cheers

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Cheerful Christmas - Nordic Noel DSP

    Hi

I broke out some new Stampin' Up! goodies from the Holiday Catalogue for my card today.

I flipped and expanded the sketch pattern from CASE This Sketch to showcase the beautiful snowflake from the Cheerful Christmas stamp set.

I lined my card base with a piece of patterned paper from the Nordic Noel Designer Series Paper pack....it is SO lovely. :)

In fact, everything on this card is NEW...the sequins and the Filigree Embossing Folder are both from the Holiday Catalogue too.

The greeting is from the promotional set "Good Greetings"...read all about that here

I love the clean Scandinavian aesthetic to this card and stamp set....it is fresh and lovely in real life.

    Hope you like my card!

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up Kind Koala - Moonlight DSP

    Hi

I really can't get enough of this little guy.....the Kind Koala stamp really is too cute, and so much fun to colour in with the Blendabilities.

When I saw the sketch at CASE This Sketch, Kind Koala sprung immediately to mind. :)

I coloured him with the Smoky Slate Blendabilities and the flower was done in the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities. His little nose was coloured with the lightest marker from the Crumb Cake Blendabilities set. :)

The DSP is from the new Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack, mounted on a piece of Hello Honey card stock.

Hope you like my card! :)

    Materials used:
    Stamp - Kind Koala
Ink - Smoky Slate Blendabilities, Daffodil Delight Blendabilities, Crumb Cake Blendabilities, Memento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock - Whisper White, Hello Honey, Moonlight DSP
Tools - Stampin' Trimmer, SNAIL, Stampin Dimensionals

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Hip Hip Hooray - CASE-ing The Catty

    Hi

At CASE-ing the Catty this week, we are exploring the Kids chapter of the catalogue.

      • SUO products (retired or current) may be used in your projects for CTC Challenges.

      So let's go!

My card was inspired by the card on page 86 of the catalogue....I loved the background of the Large Polka Dot embossed texture and the fun colour combination of Crushed Curry, Kraft, Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Smoky Slate.

I used my markers to colour in my stamp (from the Hip Hip Hooray card kit). The arrow is cut from a retired set called "Hello Lovely" but there is a gorgeous arrow punch that you could use from the new catalogue instead, or an arrow framelit from the Label Card Thinlits Die (I've linked these products below).

To make the glittery star, I covered my punched star in Versamark and then sprinkled Heat & Stick Powder over the top of it. I heated this with the Heat Tool so it was nice & sticky and then I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds glitter over it....so you get a glittery Crushed Curry star!

Now I don't have the Kraft card stock yet, so I upcycled a piece of backing cardboard that I got from one of the many Stampin' Up! kits and DSP that I've bought over the years....I'm a hoarder and I keep EVERYTHING! :)

      Here's the original:

Hope you like my card and are inspired to play along. :)

Stampin' Up! Australia - Stampin' Up! Blendabilities - I Like You

      Hi

I made this card for the Seize the Sketch challenge and started off with the two panels which I stamped with the I Like You stamp set and coloured with the Blendabilities markers in Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana.

I wanted to make a fairly clean & simple card, but the card had a life of its own (does that happen to you?)....and just wanted me to pile embellishments and layers on! :)

I hope you like my card and it inspires you to step outside the comfort zone sometimes with your projects.

You may buy all the supplies you need for this card at my online store.

      Cheers
