Stampin' Up! Australia - Dynamic Duos #66 - Stampin' Up! Alphabet Press

Dear Stampin' friends,

Here's a card that uses the new Stampin' Up! Alphabet Press embossing folder....it is very VERY COOL! The challenge this week at Dynamic Duos is to use Pool Party and Basic Black and an embossing technique. I decided to do both dry embossing and heat embossing using the Alphabet Press embossing folder.

The process is basically this:
  • brayer Versamark over the side of the embossing folder that has the impression that you want to heat emboss
  • use your embossing buddy to 'de-static' your cardstock
  • put your cardstock into your embossing folder & run it through the Big Shot
  • sprinkle your chosen embossing powder onto your dry-embossed cardstock
  • heat with Heat Tool
Simple!

I found that my embossing powder was a little bit messy and I almost threw away this panel.....but then I looked at it and thought that it looked a bit distressed and 'graffiti' like so I kept it.

The edge is from a 'found object' in my craft area....it is the back binding from a set of instructions that I had laying about....I thought that it looked cool so I trimmed it and used it as an edging feature. You could recreate this with the old SU spiral punch or slot punch.....or just rip apart some bound documents like I did! :)
