Stampin' Up! Mixed Bunch

This card has been created for the Dynamic Duos challenge to use Concord Crush and Wisteria Wonder.

Now I'm usually a 'purple' kinda girl...but I struggled a bit with this one.....hope you like it. There is a 2012-2013 Holiday Catalogue sneak peek in this card....can you see it??

Festive Fridays #33 - Sketch Challenge + Sneak Peeks!!!

Hello Stampin' friends

For this week's Festive Friday Challenge, we were given this sketch....

I decided to use some brand new Designer Series Paper from the upcoming 2012-2013 Stampin' Up Annual Catalogue plus a new In Color, new ribbon and a new embellishment....yay for new product!!!

I received most of this product at the Stampin' Up! Convention earlier this year....another big benefit of being a demonstrator .....free stuff!! :)

Stamps: Perfect Punches
Ink: can't tell you, but it IS a new In Color!
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, DSP (new!), Cherry Cobbler....plus a new In Color!!
Accessories: can't tell you! LOL!....oh except for the SU pearl.
Tools: Paper Cutter, Simply Scored (for the border), 1 3/4 scallop circle punch, 2 3/4 scallop circle punch, 1 3/8 circle punch, corner punch, dimensionals, SNAIL, mini glue dot.  

Stampin' Up! Betsy's Blossoms for Fathers Day!

Can you tell that I'm might be getting addicted to the Dynamic Duos Challenge blog and the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge ??? :)

For my card, I used the leaf stamp from Betsy's Blossoms and was inspired by these two cards by Mary Fish.....here.....and here . I like how Mary used the leaf to make a custom designer series paper in the first card....and I was really inspired by the boldness of the second card...the way Mary has used a dark colour on a lighter neutral....it is so striking! :)

I loved how well River Rock, Whisper White & Basic Black went together...I would have never guessed....that is the great thing about these challenges....the more you do, the more your colour palette expands.

I'm on a roll with my sneak peeks from the new catalogue.....

Here's another card that I made by using some of the materials we received as part of a "Make n Take" kit at the Stampin' Up! Convention in Canberra earlier this year.....it was meant to be a really big flower, but I separated the flower layers so I could make more than one project with them.

Again....new stamp sets, new DSP, new button! Yippee!!!!!

Dynamic Duos #15 and Mojo Monday 254 - Stampin' Up! Longfellows!!

This week's challenge over at Dynamic Duos is Certainly Celery with Pretty in Pink.....now, this challenge has shown me that I'm not great with subtles....in fact.... I had to order in a mixed pack of Stampin' Up! subtles just to do the challenge....and even then I don't own any Pretty in Pink ink!!!! ..... Shocking really!! ;)

I decided to team the challenge with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #254 ....

....and here's my card.....

I am late sending out a couple of birthday cards, so I used 'Long Fellows' again....I know it's retired but it is perfect for belated cards.....and I added some glitter to his back to add some bling..... he's a disco turtle.... :)

Stampin' Up! Brisbane - Heartfelt Stampin' Event 2012 - Brisbane Convention Centre

I have some exciting news to share with you....for the first time, Stampin' Up! are holding a 'Heartfelt Stampin' Event' in Brisbane on Saturday 17 November at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane.

Date: 17 November 2012

Time: Doors open at 10:00 AM and event runs from 10:00 AM−5:00 PM

Venue: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre,  Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets, South Bank, Brisbane

Registration opens: Saturday, 1 September 2012

Registration Closes: Friday, 9 November 2012

Fee: the $120 fee provides you with access to all activities and presentations at the event, lunch, the Make & Take kit and Stampin’ Up! products (including the Clockworks Stamp Set and more)!

Most activities at the event will run concurrently, so you can choose where and when to spend your time. Activities include Product Playground, Make & Takes, project displays, demonstrations and more! In addition, Stampin' Up! will offer four inspirational crafting presentations by some of our most talented demonstrator (and staff) presenters. See one of them or all of them - you can choose! Pre-booking of presentations is required when you register.

Experience hands-on learning and a chance to see and try Stampin' Up! products-including some of our latest releases. Have a go at various techniques and see project displays created by our talented demonstrators.

Make & Takes (Clockworks Stamp Set)
Registration includes a Make & Take kit and the Clockworks Stamp Set (valued at $41.95 wood-mount / $33.95 clear-mount) from the new Annual Catalogue. The kit includes materials for four cute projects and tips on how to make them. All supplies will be provided by Stampin' Up! Spend as much or as little time as you want to create your Make & Takes-whenever you like!

Inspiration Boards
Our Share Boards will provide an opportunity for you to show off your creativity! Add your own project to the boards and gain inspiration and ideas from all of the share projects. Presentation projects and a variety of other projects will also be on display, so be sure to bring your camera!

Festive Friday Challenge #31 - 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue Sneak Peeks!!!!

For this week's Festive Friday Challenge, the theme is Fathers Day cards. Nicole gave us this inspiration photo to work from....



Since I don't have that fantastic stamp set "Loads of Love", I thought I would share a sneak peek of some of the products coming out in the Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue (available 1st September 2012). One of the many perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is that we get to go to the annual Convention where we get to see and play with some of the up & coming product....I was fortunate enough to win "Prize Patrol"...a kind of lottery where your badge is flashed up on the stage screen and you win prizes, prizes, prizes!!! So not only did I leave with some Convention-only product, I got a big prize of stamps, DSP & embellishments as well!!! :)

Now, I can't tell you what the product is, but I'm sure you can see some fairly new stuff on this card.....I went vintage-themed (as per the vintage car) and I used the Basic Black, Riding Hood Red and Sahara Sand as my colours. The postage stamp was stamped onto Naturals Ivory but I'm regretting that a bit now as it came out a bit 'yellow'. I layered some different stamps to create the post-marked effect and I also layered some contrasting stamps on my sentiment panel. All the edges were sponged with Sahara Sand & Basic Black to 'age' the card.

Stampin' Up! Triple Treat Flower

Hello Stampin' friends!

This is a bit of a Say 'Hello' Wave ' Goodbye'  card in that it features the retiring set 'Triple Treat Flower' which I will miss terribly and the retiring 5 Petal Flower punch....but it welcomes a sneak peek accessory from the new 2012-2013 catalogue....can you see it?? :)

I made this card for the fantastic Dynamic Duos Colour Challenge to use Pumpkin Pie & Wild Wasabi...and for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #253.

Stampin' Up! Retired Product List

Hello!

Stampin' Up! have just released their list of retiring product....which means these items will no longer be available come 1st September when the new catalogue is released, so if you have some stamps or accessories that you have had your eye on, or you want to stock up on the retiring InColor range, ACT NOW!!! Once these products are gone, then they are considered out of stock and unavailable. Some items are reduced and stock does sell out each day so please email me asap with your order or phone me on 0413 405 139.

You will notice a few things on there....

1. The Stampin' Up Write Markers are not completely retiring, it's just that only some will be available individually so those that you see on this retired list will not be offered as single markers in the new catalogue.

2. 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered as part of the Stampin' Up! range so stock up for your scrapbooking needs.


3. 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colours and colour collections so those colours that you see on this retired list will not be offered as individual 12x12 sheets in the new catalogue.


4. You will see that ALL of the SU inkpads are on this retired list....do not panic....the colours are not retiring (except for the 2010-2012 InColors Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Poppy Parade). The range of core colour inkpads will feature an improved design for new catalogue, so SU are retiring all the felt inkpads in all colours.
