Hello!
Today's card for the Festive Friday Challenge is all about using ribbon in an unconventional way. For my card, I decided to make a rectangular panel of ribbon and then embellish it.
To make the main panel, I wound my Pear Pizzazz ribbon around a piece of cardboard that had adhesive applied. I then got my brayer and inked it up with Concord Crush and brayered the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. I put my ribbon panel in the embossing folder carefully, then I ran it through the Big Shot. It comes out not only embossed but dyed as well!!! It's an AWESOME EFFECT!!.....dig that brayer out and give it a go! :)
I mounted it on a piece of Concord Crush (which was embossed with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and swiped with Frost White Shimmer Paint), which was then mounted on Whisper White & Pear Pizzazz cardstock. The sentiment circle is from Perfect Punches.
Hope you like my card! :)

Wow, is this clever! A great looking card with a very interesting technique. Saving this to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteAlison, what can I say? This is absolutely gorgeous. I love the idea of the ribbon around the card then coloured and embossed.
