Boho Backgrounds

I am very lucky to have such generous friends who shower me with lovely gifts come birthday time. I thought I'd make some thank you cards for them.

I saw this colour challenge on Colour Q this week and thought I would try out the stained glass window technique on some vellum using one of the Boho Backgrounds stamps. I kept it all quite "clean & simple". I stamped the image onto vellum paper, coloured in with markers on the back then added a rhinestone in the middle. I hand drew the borders on the cardstock and the vellum.
Materials used:

Stamps: Boho Backgrounds, One of a Kind (sentiment)

Ink: Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise marker, Tangerine Tango marker, green marker (nonSU), Basic Black marker

Paper: Whisper White CS, Vellum paper

Accessories: Turquoise Rhinestone (non SU)

Fabulous Urban Flower

I made this card using Stampin' Up's "Urban Garden" DSP and Fabulous Flowers Stamp set. I was inspired by Gretchen Barron’s blog where she used these to make some beautiful cards.

My friend is doing the Kokoda Challenge in a few weeks time and I wanted to send her a cool card to let her know how inspiring I think she is.
